Actually felt the hairs raising on my arms. Give this to me...now.

The collective internet's body is ready! The show can wrap now, I'm happy!

System software takes up 98 gigs? No... A 500 Gig hard drive will typically have only ~465 gigs available. So, system uses 63 gigs.

Not sure...space is very limited even in these huge stores. Sometimes the sections they remove are shocking, particularly during console generation shifts. Normally older gen stuff would move out, but with massive install bases, they have an edge
Wii U doesn't.

If this system goes Dreamcast I'm going to stock up and good...but profiteering aside, I feel bad seeing this happen.

Have you played it? This review is 34% below the metacritic average. So going by your boundless trust of reviews you must know the game is a 74% right? Not too shabby.

Oh what's that? You only trust reviews that support your preconceived notions? Ok, got it.

FPS reviews are ridiculous these days. The genre is trapped by reviewers to require innovation. Name another genre that has that element. Show me the last AAA racer to score under 8/10. How about sports games? Nope. Not saying this game will be great, but ALL fps games are getting hammered lately by the bored gaming press. Here's the thing: average gamers don't play every single shooter. YOUR boredom with the job of reviewer shouldn't effect the score so dramatically.

Yep, same here. If failure rates stayed that low they would actually be the lowest ever seen, by a mile. So, FAR from panic inducing.

Consumer electronics average a failure rate of 15%.

PS3 had a remarkably low 10% failure rate over 4 years.

Due to review units and the Taco Bell giveaway over 4000 PS4's are already in the wild.

9 have failed.

Failure rate= ~0.2%

I worked in PC sales for years. Do you think we would have been upset with 1 first week failure per 500 shipped machines? No. It would have been amazing. I fully expect PS4 fa...

Nah. Honestly, I've promoted the ps3 on the free multi to friends. All that did was make them think "it must suck if it's free." Meanwhile I don't mind paying a little to support a system and product I love. I think Sony bends over backwards for us and they ask what? For $4.15 a month? And what a value it is. Free games over THREE platforms, cloud saves, and multiplayer. There are other cool features too. However, much of the online stuff like Netflix and video sharing ...

Yeah, people are entitled to their opinions but I'm tired of the industry being run by cynical clickbaiters. They yawn their way through every analysis complaining that products didn't "blow their mind." Take this review vs the score. It's starting to remind me of when Homer was a food critic on the Simpsons.

The latest installment of "I Told You So" the saga.

Who's turn is it now?

Launch titles man... Just wait until DR3/Ryse reviews hit...preview buzz is bad and in DR3's case seem to highlight console weakness (supposedly hitting 16fps often).

So... Be kind to each other people... Launch is always about possibilities.

No.....

Just NO. This is clearly a feature to avoid transfering of vibrations from the bluray drive to the tv stand (a ps3 specialty). That is why there are no rubber feet on the left side, but they are present on the right hand side and middle.

Do you people think that they just forgot the feet on the left side?

BTW the only appropriate response to this post is "what do you mean by 'you people?'"

You're right to an extent but it's because of how many people had to get multiple replacements for their 360s. The average number of replacements for the people I know
is 3-4. People don't forget so quickly and yeah, that will lead to an exaggerated reaction to launch issues with the Xb1. ESPECIALLY, if the issues are heat management related.

As I said in my post, motherboard failure rates are about 15%. I've worked in that industry and I can guarante...

I feel the same way. The only malice I feel is toward lying corporations or insane fanboys. Gamers, of all kinds, have my respect always.

Immediate hardware failure rates are huge on all consumer electronics, launch or old. The only time we talk about it is at launch or if failure rates past launch are beyond the norm, such as was the case with the Xbox 360.

The average failure rate for the first four years of use is actually 15%. You read that right, 15%. Most failures tend to happen closer to acquisition, which is another reason people freak out at console launches. Mass, simultaneous acquisition, makes it se...

Kinda getting sick of "reporters" pretending to be baffled by design choices which they may not like, but are easily interpreted.

He does this frequently in this article.

Particularly irritatinf is when he criticizes voice commands, confused that you have to follow a game's name with the word "start." Yeah, maybe because people conversing about which game to play next don't want to have to load and exit every mentioned option? Or w...

Already own and love the Vita, the feature is cool, but just wait until parents of older kids and teens figure this out. Vitas will fly off the shelf at blinding speeds. There's no better way in the world to say "stop hogging the F'n TV!" Than with a <$200 gift. Also I imagine some wives tired of their husbands buying gadgets will suddenly be saying "Wow! That Vita thing looks neat! You should get one! Treat yourself!" ;)

Was super intrigued when I heard this was coming to Vita, because it seems like a good fit, but was hoping for more of a $6.99 price point, max.

Seems steep at a ps+ price of nearly $12.
