Well, that's a gray area. They haven't shown something where a person is clearly controlling some element of the action. That's what everyone wants to see. So whether it was pre-rendered or not isn't necessarily the main issue. People want to see gameplay footage. Maybe today.
Totally agree, it's a classic apples and oranges comparison.
I'm not sure why the comments always skew so negative. Great game, gets great review, why do people have to take random potshots at other games which deliver entirely different experiences?
Yes, I think it does matter. It shouldn't, but it does.
For some reason everytime I encounter this 'wrong-sided disc,' I have a reaction of irritation, revulsion even. It's a knee-jerk reaction and one might argue is based entirely off of years of disc case programming, but it's there. Some changes to long worn traditions/conventions are a breath of fresh air and everyone collectively seems to like them...this isn't one of those changes. Among the reas...
Yeah, especially since he broke it by not caring for it properly. By his own admission it was packed full of dust. Preventable.
Also, backwards compatibility would have jacked up the PS4's price and immediately crashed the PS3 market, which with proper tending will continue to bear fruit. The latter being an effect being very useful to him in the later years of his PS3 ownership as it affords Sony 1st party game development late in the cycle, as opposed to wholesale aband...
Considering how often he's wrong, (I do agree Nintendo needs an overhaul, however.) I'm impressed with how confidently he throws out his, apparently, random guesses. It takes guts.
That said, he impresses me in literally zero other ways.
Grab it today and marvel as a smile is permanently etched into your face. I promise you, this game is must-play.
Definitely pull the trigger. This game has rocketed into my list of all time favourite games games. This game needs to be experienced and supporting it might get us a sequel...that would be incredible.
Reporting that you are sold out, true or not, is a *strategy*. (A bad one)
If that strategy backfires or leaves you looking like a liar, then that is a consequence of your chosen strategy.
People need to stop defending companies from their own bad strategies/decisions.
Yeah, I'll also add that I appreciate that input. Though, my first reaction was like "who wrote this review, the game dev's mom?" LOL
Microtransactions are awful. In 99% of cases I feel like I'm being asked to pay to win. I never pay more than the purchase price of a game, so I generally avoid games with microtransactions because I become enraged when grinding through the parts they designed to bore me into submission. So either you pay to win (lame as hell) or you are bored while consuming entertainment (oxymoronic and unacceptable.)
The only form I can stomach is when they build a game, as normal, and...
Moreover, they miss the point entirely. Adding a super-casual market doesn't cancel out the true, and still very relevant, handheld console market.
A good comparison would be like saying "five years ago americans ate 50 million hotdogs, last year they ate 70 million, yet...they ate 150 million hamburgers. Therefore, hamburgers are the future and hotdogs are completely over."
It's actually stupid.
You're just repeating a myth...a tiresome myth.
There is nothing magically limiting about PC style hardware.
What limits PC hardware, traditionally is the upgrade-centric culture of PC gaming, in which game specs are based around the concept of throwing more horsepower at every desired enhancement.
What makes console games improve over a cycle has little to do with mysterious hardware and more to do with the fact that the hardware is loc...
It really is amazing. I love it.
It deserves all the praise, it is an unbelievably good game.
Sort of clever...but really it mostly just seems like an attempt to offer a novel use for a questionable (both in usefulness and privacy issues)technology.
Yeah, the game is good. The weird thing is, while challenging, it's not even *that* challenging. People have gotten way too used to mindless button mashing.
If the movie Deep impact came out more recently, she could win a lawsuit for it copying her career trajectory...besides that um yeah, no the image only bears a mild resemblance to her, at best.
Anyone have the Ps4 version? Do you agree with what he said?
It really depends on the title and what you're looking for. Paid like $15 for Journey and that is expensive in a hours/dollar way of thinking, but it was worth it.
On the otherhand, I got Hotline Miami for $9.99 and it's provided tons of value, in terms of h/d.
Indie can be both amazing and a good value.
It's completely insane that Nintendo didn't come out with something more. This is *proof* they are misreading their market. I really don't think there is any winning back a certain category of gamers. They make quality games and always have, but at one point you have to sell gaming consoles to gamers...something they seem to not put any priority on.
