Yeah, I agree.
Like, when does a product ever "overtake" another? It kinda happens, very occasionally. Usually, though, momentum and inertia are in the driver's seat.
Yeah and we can't forget the highlight here...
We ALL expected ICE to get the most out of the PS4. After seeing what they did with the PS3, it's just logical.
So for someone to be shocked at what they're doing with the PS4, that is VERY intriguing.
If this leak is accurate E3 is going to be insanely impressive.
I expect this game to be fantastic, but at face value this name falls a bit flat.
I think either Halo: Guardians or Halo 5 would have been way better.
Personally, Halo 5 has a great ring to it.
You have pretty much said it all.
I still believe in the traditional handheld market, but it's a shaky time for a novice in the space to launch a new unit.
Even in the best of times it's a very big undertaking, that's expensive and full of growing pains, on all fronts.
Yes, and the video game controller has been evolving for over 30 years into a highly refined state...why would I want to put that aside to flail my arms around?
I agree, but you could argue this is sort of thinly veiled gamer-porn.
I think it's actually worse when you have a Naomi Kyle situation. In that case IGN presents her as a legitimate gamer, yet she constantly "hasn't had a chance to play that yet." In general, she has almost nothing to contribute to even basic gaming discussions. Her greatest contibution is, by far, her attractiveness and charm.
To me that's more insidious for the role ...
Well, it depends. 7.5 is a decent score, in general terms. However when expectations are 9+, relative to those expectations 7.5 seems low.
Two guys are walking down the street, a beautiful woman passes them, one turns the other and says "that girl was a 10!" The other guy says "hrm, maybe a 7.5." There is a large contrast there. Argument ensues.
Same scenario, girl walks by and for some reason these guys rate everyone that passes, the firs...
If we're getting picky about grammar and writing convention, maybe the focus should be on "never use a negative form when you can use a positive."
So, he could have said "It would be easy to think that this game could not have been better." (The second negative stays because it, arguably, conveys the point more effectively than a positive "...this game is the best it could be.")
This would leave room to clearly explain that s...
I know what you're saying, and agree on many levels, but I think one thing this accomplishes is it finally returns the Xbox brand to "pure video game console" status. There is something relaxing about not wasting $100 on something you're not sure of you'll ever use/feel strongly you won't. This is particularly true, since so many people that are potential Xb1 customers already have a Kinect 1.0 gathering dust at home, and they never really used it. I think people are...
Is surprising devs want the bother of being in the middle of this argument. I understand the free pubicity, but still.
Yeah, I mean...
How could pricing not be about sales?
That is a very odd thing for them to claim.
Yep, exactly.
I personally think it's the right move, and have said so many times...
...as a result I've been called every name in the book and accused of being a Sony fanboy.
Beside the fact that I own and play all brands, it really confused me to be called a fanboy for suggesting a strategy that I thought would *help* sales.
Anyway, as it turns out MS has done the right thing here. Good for them for making the decis...
Yeah, but I always kinds cringe when people defend the "right to have an opinon" by telling others to keep theirs to themselves.
Basically, if you share your opinion for a living, expect a lot of feedback from people sharing theirs.
It could be very cool, but I think bringing Crash back could be a very difficult tightrope walk.
On the one hand if you modernize and change it too much, purists will reject it. If you do too little it'll be criticized as being little more than an HD remake.
To jump through all these hoops a modern Crash game would have to be a masterpiece.
Possible, desirable, but risky.
Yeah, I agree.
How can people even be asking this absurd question in 2014. The idea that "the human eye can't see the difference" is such a dated myth. It's embarassing at this point, really.
I certainly play and enjoy 30fps games, some with even lower fps, have ranked among my faves, actually, but I can obviously see a difference and clearly prefer a higher fps when it's available.
After so much progress being made with the release of Sunset Overdrive info, they had to go back to this BS?
It's time to stop talking about theoretical performance and start focusing on games. The Sunset Overdrive stuff proved that's what gamers care about and it went a long way to making me forget their awful PR of late, and then this...
I also expect UC to push things even further. Either way, though, this game looks phenominal.
Yeah, I agree, I've heard a number of people criticizing the game for this and it baffles me.
Like, what is a non-brutal death by being crushed to death supposed to look like? The game is violent, people need to relax.
I love the whimsical nature of this game. Adore the box art! Very promising looking stuff!
Though I liked Crysis 2 a lot, Crysis 1 was definitely their best. Crysis 3 was a steaming pile, imo.
That said, the bitter irony here is that if you look back a few years ago, Crytek went on record saying that 8 gigs of ram was "the minimum" needed for next gen.
Why this matters is it'd be like saying "I need a minimum of 250 horsepower in the next Honda Civic." A lofty request. Then Honda actually delivers this and you respond by say...
