Is hilarious. I *love* it.
I don't understand this sort of complaint. For those who never played it, this version will be available. It isn't for you.
That said, it benefits you greatly. In a couple of years when you do want to play it again, guess what? It'll be dirt cheap.
If they waited till you were ready, you'd pay top dollar and new adopters would wait for no reason.
This article is asking a question I've been asking. The hate on this game is disproportionate.
Also, worth noting, it's pretty great.
Amazing stuff. Fantastic!
Yeah...if the game is actually this awesome, I don't really have a choice, I've gotta get it. Amazing.
Yep, and the big one: framerate.
@alexkoepp
It's devs complaining about the RAM configuration that has given it it's reputation.
Who else should we listen to? Microsoft execs? Xbox fanboys?
When devs are happy, I'll believe it. Devs are all that matter really, when it comes to this stuff. They make our games.
@BadlyPackedKeebab
No point in debating until after E3, however, extrapolating what can be done, based on what has been done with remarkably weaker hardware...you seem to be off the mark.
Will it be this high poly/ high res? Of course not, but that isn't the discussion and you're aware of that.
Will the spirit of the quality levels seen here be present in Uncharted 4? Likely.
The Last of Us already looks absurdly good...
LMAO, as I was reading your comment, I was like "wtf with all the 2d games?" Then I got to the bottom. That said, 2d or 3d, doesn't matter to me as long as it's awesome.
I would hack Glenn Beck, but I can't find the square button on my smartphone.
Generous.
But since I agree with the spirit of your review of the score, I'm giving your review of the review a 5/5.
Dunno about that, but this article's proper title should be: "My Internet Connection is Unreliable."
Can't agree. "Just" is being used here in place of another descriptive term such as "well."
It's somewhat subjective but saying "just over" brings to mind a quantity very near 400k saying "well over" brings to mind a number far higher, but not near enough another milestone number.
To just say "over 400k" would be far less descriptive and could even be used to describe sales of 10 million. (Though that'...
@TopDudeMan
You're exactly right.
I think people are judging it too quickly, as is the case with most games actually.
I expected a 7.3, but am relieved it wasn't a 7.1.
When are reviewers gonna finally add a hundredths and thousandth column?
7.217 is so much more accurate.
And so ends my most sarcastic post of the day. :)
I agree 100%
Imo, it matters more than ever, as taste-makers have more influence than ever and there are more of them than ever, with the largest reach they've ever had.
Expect Uncharted 4 to surpass the Order (which I agree looks amazing and have pre-ordered). All the ingredients are there. Experience, masterful team, time, good hardware, and even new graphics team acquisitions like graphics-genius Corinne Yu.
Uncharted 4, I predict, will set the benchmark for graphics, period.
Yeah, I agree. I think the game has a lot of intelligent design woven through it. There are growing pains, yes, but it's a great start to a franchise.
I think people, who have played it but don't like it, should try to play it as it's own game, rather than comparing it constantly to GTA or Assassin's Creed. Of course, people have the right to like or dislike anything they want, but I see those comparisons in so many complaints about it.
Taken ...
Professional reviews are far from perfect, and I'd go as far as saying that most are pretty bad.
That said, user reviews, while sometimes reaching new highs, also reach new lows.
I've been annoyed with IGN reviews countless times, yet I've yet to see one worded this way "Dis game looks like it will b another boring gam/dumb ai etc graphics ok but compared to other ones looks way boring, will not waste the $$$ 1/10."
So, yea...
@Kenshin_BATT0USAI
Ask yourself, does he even have a 10% accuracy rating on his "predictions?"
Pachter needs to find a new line of work.
