I really hope this sells well.
It's an unusual type of title that might get under-marketed and end up as a "cult hit."
It looks like it deserves more
@UltraNova
400 million dollars is an enormous sum of money for *any* company.
There is a persistant myth in forums that large companies with deep pockets scoff at gigantic losses.
Not remotely true.
Companies get big by being good with money (and most being publicly traded have shareholders to answer to). Losing massive sums of it, is the road to failure and it almost always leads to huge policy shifts, staff changes and re-e...
@afterMoth
I hate console wars as much as the next guy, but your comment is right on the money.
I couldn't care less which console is more powerful, but what does bother me is when transparent tactics are used by companies to exploit loyalties and spread misinformation.
All consoles have a ton to offer, own as many as you can afford or have time for, because exclusives are pretty much always worth the cost of admission...and stop arguing....
Yeah, especially with multi-platform gaming, my backlog is... significant.
Exactly!
I fully expect to see an article on here one day saying "Lazy Sony and Microsoft Refuse to Clean My Bathroom."
A serious decline in quality, for sure.
Crysis was so good (if lacking a bit of refinement), Crysis 2 (while limited freedom-wise) still fun...Crysis 3 was *not* a good time.
Yeah I agree.
In what world does a "less violent" post-apocalyptic hellscape make any sense?
Some games are violent, some aren't.
So sick of people whining.
I agree with you both. Was a fantastic game.
It shocks me when some people badmouth it.
...and they slaved for years making tlou just for you? You played it, so it's a done deal right? They shouldn't care about selling millions of additional copies? Check.
The extreme challenge of being a AAA developer is becoming more clear.
Yeah, Sony missed out on an opportunity...
...to let EA eat their lunch.
Imo, good job Sony.
Ps+ is an awesome value.
The bizarre thing is people complaining that Sony won't let a company cut them out of their own ecosystem.
EA is, generally speaking, a greedy bully. I wish they didn't own so many IP's I enjoy.
More importantly, streamline the accounts system. It's not up to par with pretty much any of it's contemporaries.
I love the Wii U, but I know that a lot of the market they are pursuing won't bother to understand the accounts system.
Absolutely. That a great idea with great timing, that I would personally appreciate (with upgraded controls for UC1 and the inclusion of Golden Abyss) even though I've played them all already.
...but you know what? Except for a small, typical vocal minority TLOU remaster is being extremely well received, and sales are very good.
So who cares if some clowns who never accomplished anything don't know the difference between a small team working on remas...
Game store near me where I pre-ordered told me they had a ton of pre-orders for it...so, not surprised.
Well deserved.
@LAWSON72
Loved the game... Perfect? Um...no.
What is your point?
You have a problem with it getting the "same or better reviews."
First up, if you really believe gameplay is king, don't you then believe it *should* receive, at least, the *same* score?
How about the extent to which graphics improve gameplay, such as framerate improving shooting mechanics?
Again, if gameplay is king, couldn't that even justify a higher score?
Fact is, y...
It also sucks that they force you at gunpoint to buy this bundle...oh wait, they don't.
You do remember this is an hd remaster right?
Great example is trying to use the God of War HD collection to determine the power of the PS3. Yet...God of War 3 exists.
Yes, but every other article these days is about how the world owes the author everything. Is obnoxious, but I'm getting used to seeing it at this point.
Crytek has bigger problems, the ip will likely end up in different hands.
