//like i said Wicca is basically considered evil in todays society. I could mention i study Wicca, and 3/4s of the room would have a negative view of me. //

Here where I live people would not consider witchcraft as religion, maybe label you as goth and see it more as "interest in witchcraft" than as a religion. Metal music rather popular in norther Europe which may have caused this.

@Cold 2000

This is basic mistake in theistic view, if A is B then C must also be A.
Ignoring millions of possibilities just to make yourself look right.

You can't really say that modern society knows the right from wrong just because of the bible. Or the possibility that bible is just written by very talented man with ideals.

I consider my self as Apatheist and I see really no reason for already brutal games to have some sort of word filters or anything. I also don't see any point in providing people imaginary violence that gives them impression that no blood ever spills or no1 ever swears.

Imo people are way too ahead of time with this cloud computing. There are still plenty of people using low speed connections and prefer to get their games on discs.

Personaly I find some of the vision of future where no1 really owns a game, but downloads the game data from PSN/XBLIVE/Nintendo network very scary.
I would rather have a machine, a console that would run the role of cloud networking. By this I mean, that why should we just accept sony/ms/nintedo having our gam...

To correct the errors of some of the posts above:

Hes argument states that: "US has loads of similar entertainment in form of videos and magazines." Which is without doubt common knowledge and doesn't need any credibility to cover it up.

of course calling most Americans hypocrites is more of a insult not an argument. As he doesn't provide any facts why he has come up to this conclusion.

Credibility has nothing to do with grammar, except when ma...

It's their f'n country, what are we to judge what kind of entertainment they allow. US or any other country or union should not have anything to do with this. Besides they are clearly made for adult audience.

There are countries where people are marrying 12 years olds and using religion as excuse. Yet people get angry for games with virtual rape?

Let Japan handle their own business, if they respect freedom of speech/expression/art/entertai nment more than US/EU/AU fo...

This is a lost cause//

Not really, as they will be loosing PSN which is one of the services they paid for when they bough the system.

This somewhat breaks few parts of Eu directive that says

Article fails to mention that the X360 controler has bigger deadzone than DS3 and that the sticks on ds are more loose than on the X360 controller.

So it all comes to which one your more used to. I have never had any noticeable problems with fingers slipping from the analog sticks or the placement of them. Its however a fact that pro DS fps player tends to adjust their fingers on the analog sticks quite often so the analog sticks may be slippery but not as annoying as this compar...

Its all in the browser. I have surfed the web with my computer attached to TV for about 1 or 2 years now. Its as comfortable as with monitor. Resolution of 1280x768 works and looks pretty good too.

Its also pretty fun to surf the web on a 32" tv. Now if I only had decent speed connection and better PC and I just might stream HD videos from services such as youtube.

For what I hear you can do the vampire quest if you change the language to german and complete it. Odd bug tough..

But being a vampire is one of the best things in TES IV, I see really no reason to not be one? except maybe low level with low hp as for high level character the sun damage is same as some1 would tickle you.

CO-OP would be nice, but imo MMO should be seperate game not TES V maybe TES Online. Even co-op based would need some serious altering to the typical Tes world.

Its none of our business what games they sell there. Maybe they just appreciate the freedom of speech in entertainment more than country "x".
It's only a game in the end and the characters are most likely imaginary 3D dolls or anime characters.

Thumps up for GeoHot, hope he will manage to make Sony regret their decision.

Hackers are not to blame for the removal of "other os", its purely retarded decision on sonys part. I mean the new hack allowed Ps3 linux users to play what? Quake2 instead of Wolfenstein?

I will not be installing unofficial firmware tough, but I could care less if some others will.

Most people are not complaining about the fact that sony is removing linux, instead they are complaining sony for their choise to remove a feature. It doesnt matter if its a feature that only few people use, but the fact that sony is removing features which some people paid for.

Why force people to download a completely useless, update that removes features? Why force people to lower the value of their console?
People defending Sony on this one are pure fanboys, as theres n...

Depends on the country, but most of the modern laws include section about illegal contract. (contract that is against the law holds no value in court).

Not to mention the fight would be
"attempt of piracy" vs sharing malware and sharing personal info.

If that wasn't the chase the developers and publishers would have done this way before inventing costly DRM's and other anti piracy systems.

Dunno about japans laws tough.

Actually it really doesn't matter what controller you use to play. I am comfortable with Dual-shock3 and playing online shooters with it is great as every1 uses pretty much the same controller as I do so there are no unfair mouse users there to ruin the fun. These 2 control types should never be mixed on online games.

Debating which is better, console pad or keyboard and mouse is retarded as both are really comfortable. Yes its easier to aim with mouse, and yes movement is far be...

Yeah this depends a lot on the laws which different in every country.

Also for my understanding the End User License Agreement or User agreement also needs to follow the laws of the country. IF it doesn't It would probably considered as an illegal agreement. You can't just hide a line of text where user agrees to give his soul to the developer.

If this where legal I would guess that the developers would have started doing this ages a go to catch the pirates.

SCEA, SCEE and SCEJ may be separate sections, but they are still working together for some degree. So even if SCEA wont be the one bringing the support for this language, it doesn't mean that they could not tell SCEE that there's some demand for support of this language.

Does SCEE even have this short of suggestion system yet?

There are many even less "popular" languages supported on Playstation so I don't really see a reason for Arabic to not be included.

Unfortunately I would guess that if the developers or publishers themselves are doing this they are breaking the law, much more than pirate.

- Accessing private information on the web.
- Publishing private information on the web.
- Spreading malicious software.

Not to mention, if the malicious fake file doesn't include the full game, the pirate only committed an attempt to download the file.

I would guess one of the most restricting element...
