The only reason first party games were better than third party was because of the unusual arcitecture of the cell.processor. The ps4 is being built with hardware that is far more commonplace and no one should have trouble programming for it. No more crappy third party.port excuses.

thats the great thing about how theyve designed the ps4. Its stuff eveyone know how to use and exploit already so the lauch games should be relativly impressive, I too cant wait to see what will come out in a year or two.
I think people are expecting too much of a jump in graphics for this new gen. To get graphics to jump up like they did from ps2 to ps3 the hardware is just too expensive to make a console that is affordable for the average consumer. I think the biggest differences between this gen and next will be lighting(which makes the biggest diff IMO) draw distances, social aspects and connectivity, the size of game worlds and a much higher level of AI for npc's and such.

I think the point is that with BD games when people would pirate them, at least with ps3, most people would run custom firmware that would allow them to store the entire game on the HD, which case in point allows for faster loading times. this new software would allow the hardware to detect a program loading too fast thereby distigiushing it as a pirated program.
The only problem I have with fighting piracy is that the ones that are actually paying for everything are the one...

Fox news has a republican agenda, and right now rebulicans are trying to demonize video games because of the whole gun safety debate. They want to say video games made people do it and this just plays into thier agenda. And to whoever said that fox news gets the best ratings, your probahbly right however dont be a sheeple like the rest of them that take everything the tv says as truth.
Besides the fact the ubisoft montreal is a canadian studio not french.
I bet they didn't show it because they said when they started the tech demos that it was a prototype. So its prob just all the right guts thrown into a generic box just to make it work. Final design wont come until after the insides are done being designed and tweaked.
Microflop is just mad because they are getting a big run for thier money by sony.

Day one purchase for sure, Looks like we're lookin at an awsome launch lineup. Sony's coming out of the gate with the bar set high this gen. Should be an exciting start to the next gen!

I agree with you on this one even tho your getting a lot of disagrees. In this day and age you should be able to lock down a reliable internet connection, and if you live in an area that doesnt have internet or has very old infastructure and have very poor internet than online video gaming just isnt for you bud, sorry.
You want to keep up with the times than you have to update your tech.

Race should only matter if you make it matter. Why would the skin color of your character change the game in any way good or bad?

PSP support fell apart when they found out how easy they are to hack. People were pirating like crazy with them and all the third party support dropped out because of it. Without the thirdparty support consoles dont survive very well.
Why is everyone always crying about the price of the vita? People drop 600-1000 dollars everyday on Ipads and no one sheads a tear but ask 250 bucks for the most advanced gaming handheld made and its like your asking people to give up their first born.
More on topic I do agree some good software is whats really going to push the vita off the shelves and they def need better advertising. However some great titles are slated to come out this year. As long as we dont get any...
It's not enough better to brag about, that's for sure. I'm glad ninty finally got with the times on the graphics level but seems like they are treading water really because once ps4/720 come out they are just going to be last place in the graphics dept again.
I know i KNOW, graphics dont make the game, however if that were always true we would all still be playing on our atari's, wouldnt we?
