Why does sony owe anyone anything outside of reimbursment of paid sevices you may have missed out on due to the network outage? Unless you were actually a victim of identity theft, I don't see how sony would owe anyone a thing. Anyone with an ounce of common sense should know any personal information broadcast onto the internet is potentially at risk. Sony can't be held solely responsible because no matter how much security is in place someone will always find a way around those se...
Ive seen way more of this type of thing from MS than sony. And that kind of thing never was a big issue until MS started doing it to nearly every multiplat game.
@jamal
I thought about using another analogy to describe your comment but you prob wouldn't have gotten that either.

If they brought out all in one set, Full hd remakes on the older ones and psp versions, I just got a nerd boner!
Playstation from day one!
Microsoft never had a chance with me, I don't like the company, the owner or their business practices and if I can avoid supporting MS in any way I will. Paying off publishers for timed exclusives because you cant keep up with the tech, paying even to go online at all, sub par equipment, the list goes on and on, and I haven't even touched on MS's PC operating systems. No way MS is just not for me.
" Nintendo was right, the Wii sold (and is still selling) close to 100 million consoles. The closest competitor? Xbox 360 with 75 million consoles sold."
Um excuse me? Didn't the ps3 just pass the xbox in worldwide sales? And besides the fact, sale don't make it a better console by any means. I guarantee ford sold more focus's last year than lamborgini sold Diablo's but which one is the better car?

Graphics matter to a certain degree. Some games don't need the top of the line graphics because the game is all about the gameplay, but games like say Uncharted or God of War just wouldn't be as cool without the spectacular visuals that high graphic fidelity brings, no matter how good the gameplay was. If graphics didn't matter at all we wouldn't be where we are today.
thanks for the bubble mac_sparrow!
And how do we both get disagrees for that, would those 2 people rather everyone scream and cuss and throw fits over everything?
I'm not attacking anyones platform of choice just expressing my opinions. I did state an unfortunate fact that may have come off a little fanboyish, I'll agree with that but it is a fact and that's undeniable.
I will agree if sony had some better communication with the consumers a lot of this backlash could be avoided. I think part of the problem is they are spreading the ps3 too thin. The hardware was not originally intended to do as much as they are making it ...
Actually there is plenty documentation that says only certain tribes of native americans scalped people. If you don't believe me than read up on you history.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wik...
The tribes in that area of the country did not. If I remember correctly they were going to include scalping into the game and some native American groups got all up in arms specifically for the fact that the tribes men...
Really because I thought they set out to be an entertaining and profitable gaming franchise, and it seems as if they are doing a damn fine job of that. With as much as people complain about yearly releases or whatever else, every one I've played has been loads of fun and I cant wait to be an assassin/pirate. Keep em coming Ubi, cant wait!
they tried that in GTA and it was annoying, well the eating anyway. And really do you want to have to make bathroom breaks in your video games? I frankly don't want to leave the battlefield to take a dump in my games.
Even though its a work of fiction they try to stay as close to history as possible, and given that, the native americans of that area didn't scalp people. Putting that in there would have just come off as racist dude. They cant offend an entire culture just because you think it would be fun.
I see your point, however just because its a phrase on our bills doesnt exactly make it the motto of our country. The fact that our forefathers came here and built a society to escape religous persecution pretty much set the stage for our current society to have strong christian undertones(they were all christians, mostly of puritan values) including that little phrase on our money. But this could be a whole other debate. Besides that there are also masonic and egyptian and greek symbols o...
just on that page, there are two people cussing at sony for the network being down, when will people have some get some common decency and learn how to discuss problems in a civilized manner. I swear the thought of being cordial, even in an argument, is completely gone from this country.
I agree, the people that are doing all this programming are just that, people, and we all make mistakes or things just don't go as planned and take a little longer. Just because you have to wait an extra day for a game demo or something doesn't mean you get to cry like someone is trying to take your first born or something. I mean really all these people making such a fuss out of an online store being down for a couple days, do you throw a fit on the street when the grocery store is...
If yur an atheist than you have nothing to believe in anyway, so why should a phrase on a dollar bill offend you at all. You need to hold some sort of conviction towards something before you can get offended, either that or you are just saying you're offended out of some sense of vidictive spitefullness.
Well, thats all true in my book as well, however, what does that have to do with the article in question?
And I'm pretty sure you should have said humans are all sinners, not evil, that puts it in a whole different context.
There were plenty of other devs that ported to ps3 just fine, so saying its sony's fault for using more complicated hardware is hardly an excuse in my book. If a job gets tough do you just half ass it, or should you put in a little extra effort to produce a quality product?
