If you have to charge for giving extra online services then this is the way to do it!
If you want to buy your console and just play single player games and use Netflix, Lovefilm, etc. you do not and should not have to pay an extra charge.

I never did understand the MS Gold Live service..
You get all non-gaming internet connection free and also get to play some free to play games (free meaning FREE) on PS4. No extra costs for netflix, lovefilm, etc.
Come on all you 360 users. Get a campaign going to get the same from your on-line service. As we know from this week, they can work!

It makes perfect sense. Is Sony the new Father Christmas? They are making all the right moves this week. Free to Play was worrying me when I heard about PS+ & PS4 multiplayer.
Free to play is free on PS4! Whether you own a 360, PS3 or wii you can't deny just how cool Sony are these days. Way to sock it to those greedy publishers.

I can switch off Data & wifi on my smart phone and still use the apps/games that do not require the internet. It is MY choice.

If Sony had followed suit then Gaming could of died yesterday. Being rebellious against big companies controlling your choices is core to gamers. Who would of thought Sony would be on our side?

It was a bit like a boxing match with MS in the green corner throwing weak punch after weak punch and the champion in the Blue corner just waiting to offload the killer punches whenever it pleased.
In Retrospect Sony had it sewn up before E3 but like any true champ delivered the fatal knock down in dramatic style!
All headsets should still work. They are referring to a mono one that connects to the DS4 controller like the 360 does.

As ziggurcat mentioned 1TB drives are cheap. I can get one for just over £50.
I think I'll keep the 500GB and wait until the 2TB drives drop in price first. It's great to have the choice.
Who knows in a couple of years it may be just as cheap to throw in a 500GB SSD..
If the PS4 sells this well and does indeed prove to be the more powerful console will multi platform games still be the same on both or will developers unleash the extra performance?
Can you imagine the scramble to get a PS4 on Day 1? It's going to be insane.
