It seems you can play it using DS3 as well as DS4. This is great for older games PS1/PSP that may not work straight away with DS4.
They were showing a bundle with DS3 and a memory card. Great news for all those DS3 controllers out there.

More questions than answers at this stage but the potential is massive. I can take this around to my mates and play my Vita content (including PS1/PSP games) on their TV connected via HDMI using my DS4 controller.
If they have an internet connection I can also remote play to my PS4 at home and play my PS4 games on their TV.
What a way to spread the word for PS4 & Vita....

As someone who builds their own rigs, I have to say you seem to have got the wrong end of the stick.
They have the same CPU but XB1 runs a little faster (we think). XB1 has 8GB DDR3 running at 2133 in 2 x 4 sticks whereas PS4 has 8GB unified GDDR5 at a speed of 5000 or so.
So XB1 can multi-task quicker and PS4 will play games with more GPU power and faster memory.

Hey all good PCs use that "shitty DDR3" so please go easy... and MS are using very fast DDR3 2133.
PS4 also considered using ESRAM configuration. They said they could get max speeds of 1,000 not 204 or 192. But decided to go for overall fast unified GDDR5.
Remember, XB1 has over half its R&D budget on Kinnect 2. Imagine just how close to PS4 power they could of got, if not more.
Both are amazing compared to 360/PS3.

Great article with some very good insights. So multi-platform games will look the same to start with. They use super PCs to start with then scale things down to fit their target systems.

Imagine just how powerful the XB1 could be if MS spent just half of their massive Kinnect 2 R&D budget on more GPU grunt.
Sony focused on games this time around. MS are going for other markets. Hope it works out for both of them..

I agree it seems PS4 has more GPU power but with MS advertising they could sell more than PS2 over the XB1 lifetime.
Maybe the PS4 will be the greatest gaming console ever, but XB1 could still sell more. Look at the Wii sales - lame console but sells more than 360/PS3.
The first language I ever learned was BASIC. It was very easy for simple text-based "Hello World" type programs. It taught me the essence of sequence iteration and selection - the very basics of coding.
I even learned C and COBOL but Pascal was the best learning tool - so easy for functions and procedures.
Yes, IDE tools can be great but learning the basics is never a bad thing (no pun intended).

The mega-pack deal is a bargain. On Amazon for the same price as the normal Vita wifi £169 you get the Vita wifi and the 8GB card and the 10 games.
If I didn't have one already I would grab that deal myself. There have been loads of announcements for games coning to PS4 and Vita recently.
We better get used to the Vita - it is here to stay. For those who do not have one, they are way above what the PSP offered. I love it.
