It does matter - sorry to say. And for one reason only.
Last time around developers pimped 360 but gave half-hearted PS3 versions to multi-platform games. Maybe due to the Cell, or MS pressure, or laziness, or just quicker to do that. And most limited games to a single DVD.
Compare this to what PS3 gamers got with 1st party studios and full use of graphics and Bluray disc. They felt a bit short-changed.

We now know PS4 has a bit more under the hood. We do not fully know just how much yet.

His original post was almost okay. He confirmed that PS4 is the most powerful console. All his other posts were to dispute by just how much/little advantage PS4 has over XB1.
His last comment was that PS4 may only have single-digit fps advantages over XB1 and not 10+.
Better to concentrate on games at this point!
If we are to believe what Micorosoft themselves said then the Kinnect 2 had more cost in development than the XB1 due to the ultra sensors inside. Just how much they are losing per console is anybodies guess.
On topic: It seems MS have confirmed that PS4 is the most powerful console just like Sony announced. Microsoft are disputing just how much more.
Does this matter? It seems to matter to MS a lot more. They have upped their GPU clock speeds and also upped their CPU clock speeds. At the same time Sony have - they just have the PS4 as it is.

See my comment above - they built the best system for their multi-purpose vision. Sony just built a pure gaming system. Both are way above the 360 & PS3.
So when you say PS4 is the better console, it depends on what you want from your console. Despite their constant 180's and slightly awkward attempts to catch up with the PS4's power Microsoft have actually given us all a different optiuon.
You say vastly inferior but remember the XB1 is way above the 360. Microsoft did a great job and have developed the best console for THEIR needs. That is, multi-purpose gaming and TV and social media system.
The Kinnect 2 is a massive part of that system and costs as much as the console to develop. So, again, they built the best system that meets THEIR needs.
Sony have created an even better pure gaming system. They want all types of games, from indie to AAA....

I agree with TV integration - but for gaming I don't know...
Lets be honest. The Kinnect 2 is an amazing piece of hardware. If estimates are true it costs slightly more than the XB1 itself because of its advanced sensors (at least in R&D).
They could not sell enough of them separate to recoup that money so they have to bundle Kinnect 2.

Nvidia are not AMDs sole rival. AMD have done great work in the APU market and have even trumped intel for integrated graphics across the board.
They provide us with something special - choice & competition. Well done AMD. You deserve this bit of success.

If they can create GTA V with the small memory footprint of 360/PS3 imagine what they could do with next gen Ram if they started from scratch.

Can support up to 2 Dualshock 3 for PS1 multiplayer. Play PS1 and PSP and Vita games with Dualshock 3 but not games that use touch screen!
Can use the new Dualshock 4 to remote play PS4 games in another room to your PS4 or even at a mates house on their TV even though they do not have a PS4!

That's just it we do not really know. But we have only heard developers say that PS4 is either easier or more powerful (or both) to develop for. But we have not heard multi-platform developers say XB1 is the more powerful.
Plus Sony have said that PS4 is the most powerful console and MS have been trying to squeeze extra juice (CPU & GPU speed increases) to keep up.
