If you look at Bioshock 2 as its own game and put aside all the comparisons between it and the first game, Bioshock 2 is a really good game.
It's a disappointment as a Bioshock game, but as a standalone game it's still great.
I wouldn't mind another sequel, B2 was pretty much just an expansion (which I wouldn't mind).
"But at least the developers believed in their art enough to put their credibility on the line."
Pretty sure they specifically stated that they made Dante look and act the way he does in order to attract a wider and younger audience. I doubt it has anything to do with an artistic vision (I haven't read anything where the devs state it's because of their artistic vision).
Even then, this is a video game, a product you make for your fans. It...
Same here. Fallout 3 had the best, most immersive open world I've ever played in a game. I enjoyed Fallout 3 way too much to ever miss out on another Bethesda developed game again. Skyrim was really good as well, and I didn't have any gamebreaking problems on it like many others did, I even platinum'd the game.
Sure, the lack of DLC for the ps3 version of Skyrim is a bummer, but it will most likely eventually come out, and if it doesn't, then oh well, I had...
Borderlands
General Knox for me was the best dlc I've ever played, and I spent almost as much time in that dlc than I spent on the actual game itself. Borderlands dlc is worth every penny and then some. Even the game without the dlc is a very lengthy game.
And sure, there are plenty of games out there, but there are nearly none out there better than borderlands. What's your favorite game by the way? The one you are just dying to play right now? Would you refuse to buy it at laun...
Just because that was the case for you, doesn't mean it's the case for everyone else.
The easy mode is optional. If it somehow does put a damper on the experience of the game (which it wont for a lot of people), then they can change it to hard mode and get their enjoyment then. It's that simple.
There is no problem with game difficulty these days unless the game doesn't have a difficulty mode. Most games do though. Assassin's Creed doe...
I've only played Demon's Souls (and watched my friend play all of Dark Souls), and I would prefer the game to be more lenient.
Not in terms of how hard it is to beat enemies though, just in terms of what happens when you fail. The biggest deterrent for me when it comes to the souls games, is losing all of your souls and having to start back at the very beginning of the level, with every enemy you killed re-spawned, all that work you did erased, and if you make a sl...
The guy isn't wrong. With games, there's so little quality in the story, that if a game reaches the quality of a slightly better than average run of the mill action movie, then it's considered to be "good", not because it is, but because it contains a better story than most other games out.
@abzdine
Spawn grenades ruined KZ2 multiplayer for me. It made the whole "early dying" aspect of shooters even worse than Call of Duty. The fact that you could place them anywhere made spawn camping very prevalent and took out any opportunity for skill. Out of the issues of KZ3 that I hear people complain about, I'm very surprised to hear someone complain about the spawning in KZ3, when KZ2 had, in my opinion, the worst spawn problem in any game I've ever...
Lol, I did get one, two actually, but I sold the first one to my friend before it could crap out, then bought the other one later on for the first gears of war game. Eventually it got RRoD, so I got a replacement, but rarely ever played the replacement, so a couple of months ago I traded it in for $100 credit towards the purchase of Borderlands 2 Limited Edition.
No thanks. I bought an Archos 5 some years ago, and the piece of crap started getting a blue screens within the first 6 months I had the thing, and I took care of it to.
No way in hell would I buy another piece of hardware from them again.
Trumps?
Warhawk was released on disc.
More power to those of you who are waiting for the GoTY edition. Personally, I LOVE Borderlands 1, and have pre-ordered the Ultimate Loot Chest edition.
I couldn't imagine waiting any longer to play what is in all likelihood going to be one of the best (if not the best) games of 2012, and possibly, the best game of this console generation (b1 is my favorite game this gen so far).
As for the season pass, well I think I'll bite. Every DLC Borderlands ...
Some things have been taken off the PS store so you can't just simply search for everything. There was even an instance where a game or two (flow and maybe kung fu fists of plastic) were removed from my download list and searching for it via the browse feature didn't work and ended up confusing me for a bit before I looked it up online and found out the same thing happened to other people. guess it was because they were both free games. Anyways, there have been a few demos and games (...
My point is that it doesn't come down to good games vs crappy games. I don't know a lot of people that have played Darksiders. I remember that one being announced in the 10 free games thing, but that must have just been for Europe. They should put up good games with a lot less popularity than something like Borderlands.
Plus, the sales on Borderlands have been generally much better than the others. They had Borderlands + all the DLC on psn a while ago for a mere 1...

I'll wait for this to drop to $30 bucks. I actually liked RE5 a lot (never played any re games except 4, so that might be partially why, and it had great co-op), but Resident Evil 6 just doesn't look very interesting to me.
Actually, I might just wait for the $30 dollar inevitable "gold edition", which will hopefully have playstation move support, as re5 gold move support was really good.
Tell me about it. I refrain from downloading all those free playstation minis from playstation plus just because it makes finding crap in my download list take so damned long. At the very least, give us a search feature.
No offense to the game, but what we've seen so far doesn't even look as good (graphically) as Uncharted 2 or 3.
As for the game itself, I really hope Naughty Dog force the whole "having to use everything at your disposal, including your environment" and not give you the option to just treat it like an average third person shooter like Uncharted where you just kill everyone with bullets. Ammo should be scarce and you should NEED to use melee, stealth, distra...
