I read something today that said Bayonetta 2 was cancelled because of poor sales or something like that, then Nintendo swooped in and picked it up so they could publish it.

Why do those "Sonys [insert sony product here] is doomed!" articles get approved so much? Because it only takes like 11 people to get one of those articles up (1 to post it, 10 to approve it, sometimes it only takes 5, don't know why that is though).
Yeah, but what kind of content can you store on the external devices? Game patches, game installs, full games, DLC add-ons, or is it just going to be minor stuff like music, pictures, game saves, videos? Also I worry that a game reading off of an external hard drive might make things much slower, since, if I'm not mistaken, external drives are much slower than internal ones.

I don't think there is such a thing as the "best console generation". Even if there was, none of us can really fairly say which it was.
Those who grew up back in the days would be too blinded by their nostalgia boners to be unbiased about today's generation, since whenever you think back to the past, you only remember the good times, while giving you this sort of fake memory about how things actually were, completely (or mostly) forgetting the bad things. ...
