Actually I'm going to have to say this about the graphics. While they do the job, there is some strange inconsistencies with it. Textures look great up close, but look terrible from a distance. They all look low-res. And even when you zoom in with a scope, it stays low-res.
This seems to be more lack of technical polish from Slant 6, and it's clear they don't know the PS3 hardware.

I cant believe people are going back to this whole HD-DVD vs Blu-Ray nonsense. It's over folks. Move on. Blu-Ray has 100% movie studios backing it up now. Transformers is Blu. Iron Man is Blu. The Dark Knight will be Blu. So on and so forth. Get a life and realize that!
Yeah HD-DVD was soooooooooo better. That's why it's only capable of half the bit rate of Blu-Ray's. And not to mention, some movies weren't even capable of TrueHD sound like Transformers.

And the "short end" of the stick has God of War 3, MGS4, Uncharted, GT5, Wipeout HD, Resistance 2, Killzone 2, White Knight Chronicles etc. Not such a bad place to be.
It's not that there's whining about them being just 360 fans. It's that the gamestop 360 fans are shoving 360 crap down peoples throats. If they prefer the 360, then fine. But they need to stop downplaying the PS3 just because they have a 360. There's obviously pros and cons to both consoles. Not everybody is alike. Not everybody likes faulty hardware. Not everybody likes Halo 3. And it goes both ways. Not everybody likes playstation consoles. Not everybody likes Metal Gear.

I don't think the whole "Oh MS is paying for it!" conspiracy even works here. There's no other explanations except that gamestop employees are just straight up fanboys. It's too common everywhere in friggin different states, people have the same exact problem with them. So gamestop as a company is just a poorly ran business.

True. But it's a growing trend, and just as long as it continues to grow. That's the most important part. It might be 12% now. Then maybe 50% in the future.
It's not that it isn't gameplay > graphics. It's because the graphics are actually so poor it hinders the gameplay. Too often do I shoot at an enemy, when a graphical glitch hits and the enemy is no longer there. Or the insane amount of pop-ins from the textures and other things. And the frame rate doesn't hold up in intense firefights where it matters most.
Now if they could just LOCK it at 30fps, with no glitches, and no pop-ins. Then nobody would mind the low resolution tex...
