It is definitely behind PS plus essential but a welcome change.
Sony actually spent money getting third parties like RE7,MHWorld, P5, FFXV, etc on the PS collection while MS just put old games that they own on the list. And they add high profile games every month like COD cold war and Alan Wake this month.
But it can't be argued that it isn't an improvement over GWG.
It's the PS plus collection except it's mostly 1st party games.
Keep in mind you lose EA play games if you leave Ultimate so hopefully you don't play those games often.
Glad they kept the 60 a year so there will no price change to people who just want online multiplayer. And that list of games is better than what GWG was giving so it's a good change.
They don't say they will add 25 games 2-3 times a year. That sounds like they will have 75 games by the end of the year.
They just say they will add games 2-3 times a year...we don't know how many.
It's not the same money. It's double the price for a year. 60 for the year(GWG) vs the new 9.99 a month.
Google search says from software owns the IP. Why do people not look this stuff up before comenting?
It has the ps plus 10%off pre order deal that occasionally happens with indies advertised on state of plays and such. Got that discount for FIST.
I would wait for reviews and if they are good preorder it for the discount.
Budokai 3 and DBZ fighterz are my most memorable.
No dbz fighterz? Outrageous not to have the best looking dbz game. Are you not into tag team 2d fighters?
Can you list the IP taken off the competion that was there previously with those purchases? They bought developers that were mainly making exclusive playstation games.
All i can think of is Fuse and Sunset Overdrive. Bungie is stil multiplatform.
And what ever you manage to list out will be 10% of the IP's taken off playstation with just the Bethesda purchase. Not even counting Rare, Double Fine,Ninja theory and Obsidian.
Sony has been buying publishers for decades?
So you're saying a devil may cry game shouldn't make a top 10?
And FFXI, XII and XIV are also what some would call "not final fantasy"...are those overated as well?
And it's at 87 on metacritic so it's not really being overrated.
So far for me of the new games i have finished.
FFXVI
RE4
Dead Space
Horizon Burning Shores
Like a dragon Isshin
Forespoken(i finished it because i like the gameplay...but i did pretty much skip the cut scenes.)
Hi fi rush.
No judgment on games not on the list...just not my taste or waiting on sale.
Not 1 or 2 is subjective but not in the top 10 is shocking.
I would love new hunts with possibly monsters from other series perhaps. But i would love an intergrade type dlc as well.
And WARNING! Spoilers in the comments below.
Premium is kinda a dud if you bought all the classics when they came out back in the day as you get access to them without Premium. But the service is only an extra 20 a year. Cheaper if you get it during days of play and other discount times.
Publishers put their AA games on there day one mostly.
P3R and P5T but not Metaphor for Atlus.
Exoprimal but not SF6 or RE4 for Capcom.
If it was a big money maker they would put all their games there...
Just wondering if by this logic Kingdom hearts and Mass Effect aren't RPGS?
And if dialog trees make mass effect a rpg then final fantasy in general isn't an rpg because it never had dialog trees? And i guess that would make games like the walking dead and heavy rain rpgs since they have alot of dialog trees?
Just following the logic.
They offer 25% off their yearly subs every days of play and other sales times like black friday.
So until they stop giving discounts i doubt they will increase the price.
