@Obscure_Observer. It doesn't necessarily mean that the story has been 'debunked' it could simply be that Microsoft decided not to proceed with the plan. Many respected outlets were reporting the story including Windows Central (who have close links to Microsoft) and The Verge.
Also, at E3 2018 Phil Spencer talked about the next-gen he mentioned MULTIPLE new Xbox consoles, he said Microsoft is "deep into architecting the next Xbox consoles where we will o...
Hurrah! Since the first reveal Sean Murray has been teasing the possibility that No Man's Sky will be playable in VR, now a few years later it is! I've got my PSVR headset ready to go for when I'm done with work.
@Farther_Merrin Yes, you can play with regular controllers.
Inexperienced commentary for stating incorrect information. This is NOT the final stage of the PS4’s lifecycle. There is over one year to go until the PS5’s purported November 2020 release. However Sony will keep manufacturing the PS4 for at least 3+ years after that because it will be a budget entry console for new gamers and some international markets.
This is why online ‘TV’ platforms like Twitch, YouTube and Mixer will continue to grow fast.
Reggie for Prez?
I bet the reporters from the complaining websites, when playing Cyberpunk try and kill his character.
This is a clear declaration that EA wants gamers to use EA Access with whatever cloud service they are using. Which suggests availability on Google Stadia as well as Microsoft xCloud and and Sony's PlayStation cloud services.
"Here at Ars Technia we are going to tell you why Sony selling 100 million PS4 units worldwide is not the big deal that you think it is"
This means that by March 2020 it [might] have outsold the Xbox One. This would be a big achievement signifying the fast adoption rate.
This article compares Apple Arcade and Google Stadia, but it’s not a logical comparison because they are two different products fo two different markets. It’s basically a clumsy way to criticise cloud gaming on Stadia.
ARTICLE TLDR: Apple Arcade is going to be better than rubbish Google Stadia because you can download games!
@skies2. Hi man! I'm not hating on the product. I can see that for you it may be an object of desire but, for me, even if I was a multi-millionaire I would not buy it because I see no aesthetic or functional benefit. I know you said my 'comment makes no sense' but it does makes sense, it's just that you disagree with my opinion. It's okay for us all to have different opinions!
An all-in-on is an interesting idea, but ultimately the consoles are still separate devices with separate HDMI cables coming out, all located in a single box. In practical terms they function as separate consoles, so it's an interesting concept but has no real practical benefits.
Sony should focus on TV, TV, TV.
Both are great games, I'm actually surprised Spider-Man is now the bestselling superhero game because it is single format whereas Arkham City came out on multiple consoles so demonstrates it really resonated with gamers.
The first Arkham Asylum was so brilliant because it felt like a real snapshot of being Batman and him doing all his detective things. I've only recently started Spider-Man and am enjoying it and the swinging is just brilliant.
What a brilliant surprise! When I go on my budget EasyJet flight later this year I'm doubtful they will do the same.
Whilst I'm sick of seeing everybody in the world's aged face, to the author Grayson Morales what a brilliant idea to bring it to game characters! Some of the examples work better than others. Aloy, Ellie and Nathan Drake are my favourites. The Lara Croft one didn't work so well but I think it's because you need a closer shot of the person's face. Cloud looks like a leather-clad, puffy-faced rock star unable to retire from his old life. It's all good fun.
Whilst I wouldn’t describe myself as one on a first date or in a job interview I play games so I am a ‘gamer!‘ There is now a growing tendency of people telling others they can’t use the perfectly fine word because their political activism makes them think it is exclusionary. They are wrong, gamer (yes it sounds a bit nerdy!) has been the standard term for decades.
‘New Line Is Working on a Space Invaders Movie and NOTHING SURPRISES ME ANYMORE’
This is why video game journalism isn’t taken seriously. Because this is meant to be a tech news story but some upperty journalist believes they have the right to insert their opinion in news. It makes it fun but it also demonstrates why people are losing respect for Gawker websites.
I haven't played Anthem, but I'd argue that Crackdown 3 was the most disappointing because overpromised for longer. It was first announced by Microsoft in 2014 as being a game that would showcase the power of next-generation cloud power, and when it arrived almost five years later it was a functional and brightly coloured disappointment.
Buy the one with the games you want to play.
