Head of Arkane, and Deathloop project lead is Dinga Bakaba. He has a Jewish mum and Muslim dad, but has strong views on Palestine issue.
It’s fine to have his views, of course, but in one short-sighted move he has made his studio a political entity and this could affect all the staff.
I prefer he keep his politics out of the games.

PlayStation LifeStyle gave this a 10/10 you say?
Great! Now I know how much I can trust their reviews.
I’m reading some are sceptical of MLID, but doesn’t the fact he got sued by Sony prove the validity of his leaks?
What’s the before price, what’s the after price?
-With no numbers I don’t know if this is a good or bad thing.
Revenue is not the same as profit. The fact the blogger who wrote this doesn’t understand because he has adopted the celebratory tone from the Microsoft press release.
But what if it doubles as a keylogger, is this Sinophobia or a legitimate concern?
‘Ubisoft CEO Blames Organised Campaigns of Criticism Against Its Games’ - What crap, if Ubisoft was making the type of games with characters the public want then no matter what the criticism, people would buy them. The online criticism was a response to their products.
Additionally, Yves Guillemot blamed soft sales of Star Wars Outlaws on a drop in popularity for the Disney franchise , not on the product.
Ubisoft needs to start listening to what its cust...
‘Microsoft's Movies & TV service is shutting down’
-But it will NEVER shut down Xbox Gaming…
A new console shouldn't be getting 'pushed to its limits'. This means either the Switch 2 is underpowered, the game's not optimised, or the reviewer is overstating the performance issues.
The catch is that not all the games are on the disc.
@Michiel1989 Thank you Michiel for being one of the only people to recognise my superior genius. I was not having a great day but your kindness has made everything better. 🫡
What did Halo: Infinite sell?
I wonder who got the $50,000,000?
This is some major revisionism as ‘Major Nelson’ was a corporate face for a corporation who was regarded as soulless and insincere. He was part of Xbox’s image problem outside of the US. There were videos of him fake smiling for fans who wanted photos, then his expression turning into a scowl! I saw him at E3 2013 outside the expo centre with a team of young staff and he just looked so pissed off - but then he and Xbox were under a lot of pressure that year! I’m not saying he is a bad person,...
In the comments for last week's chart I said: "In four years time this Mario Kart game will still be in the top ten."
The haters downvoted but it won't stop the long term sales of this game.

He’s actually a brave man for speaking up. This is what Google Gemini said about the job cuts that Microsoft told the ABK hearing WOULDN’T happen:
‘During the hearings and regulatory reviews for its acquisition of Activision Blizzard, Microsoft made various arguments and assurances regarding potential job losses.
Primarily, Microsoft's argument to the courts and regulators, particularly the FTC, was that the acquisition was a "vertical" mer...
@OptimusDK + Obscuron Reaper. Microsoft is now the biggest games publisher in the world by revenue precisely because of its purchase of ABK.
Because some people have willingly become the gaming equivalent of welfare claimants. They will pay for Game Pass but don’t value any games you have to pay for. They get angry at the prospect of paying for a game - they don’t realise they are responsible for the death of their favourite platform.
@Eonjay @Christopher. I understand people have issues that are close to their hearts. But let's look at this under the microcosm of N4G. There may be a political issue or life or death going on in the UK that is so important to me, but just because it's important to me it doesn't mean I should annoy all the members here about it. Likewise, there are likely members who care about the loss of life in the Ukraine vs Russian war, maybe some people care the senseless deaths of the Ukr...
