Wow, Microsoft publishing is helping make this a truly golden year of releases for PlayStation.
Yes. PlayStation has beaten Xbox.
This time next year when the evidence of this is stronger, Halo on PS5 & Xbox console sales have cratered, no one will even be asking the question.
Some die-hard Xbox enthusiasts have shifted their loyalties from the great Xbox console to the company Microsoft - they are not the same thing. Of course Microsoft as a Big Tech company with 3 trillion dollar market cap has significantly more wealth than Sony will likely e...
I played the start of it up until joining the Constellation, so too little for me to know how good or bad the game is. But I would say proper integrated space travel is necessary. If you played Skyrim and there was only fast travel between towns it would lose that sense of being a truly open world. So hopefully Bethesda can add this.
TheGamer: 'If Avowed hadn’t been an Xbox Game Pass day one release, would it look any different?'
Yes. It would've been a better game.
It was likely released to fulfil a promise of a triple-A first party title released on Game Pass in the early 2025 window. A criticism of Avowed shared in many reviews is that the RPG mechanics are shallow, and there is a lack of interactivity with the world and the NPCs. Many of those same reviewers have said ther...
The Gamer: Pretty please. please. PLEASE 'Don't Pre-Order Forza Horizon 5 On PS5'.
Nothing can stop the Halo train from going multi-platform.
I played a little bit of this when i had my Xbox, was fun in a way that reminded me off Burnout Paradise City. But the asking price is near-full price which is a bit cheeky but I suspect Microsoft is trying to discover how much it can charge for the Halo game on PlayStation.
That’s a touching recollection by McCreary. A nice behind the scenes of a great PlayStation press conference I remember watching. I look forward to the video.
For Dragon Age: The Veilguard to be included in PS Plus so soon after release just goes to show how far EA/Bioware shit the bed.
FFS. This is why the Xbox console failed, not because it was bad but because over a decade Phil Spencer couldn’t properly manage his game studios. If Microsoft had the ball’s and for him then the Xbox console would’ve still been in the game.
Peter Molyneux must be kicking himself seeing another company profit from his ideas.
If only he didn’t get distracted with Godus.
If only I didn’t help crowdfund it.
I was thinking of getting either this, Monster Hunter Wilds or Dragon Age: The Veilguard but I wanted some advice so turned to IGN as they are the purveyors of thorough, high quality, trustworthy reviews. They rated Dragon Age: The Veilguard as a 9/10 so I'm going to go for that instead.
I loved Assassin’s Creed IV. If that exploratory sense of island-hopping adventure can be brought to the Elder Scrolls then this could be brilliant for me as it would combine pirates with open worlds fantasy. I just hope that Bethesda has learnt lessons from all the other great RPGs released since Skyrim to upgrade the gameplay and hopefully the graphics too. The Elder Scrolls VI is long overdue and I’m ready to return to Tamriel!
@Reaper22_ I understand that you are clumsily trying to make a comparison of Microsoft computing and console related failures with those of PlayStation's parent company, Sony. However, those Microsoft products were all failures, except for Xbox which lost profit but was a critical, not profitable success during the original and 360 generation. You referencing Sony Walkman shows that the points you make are based on format wars and lack any historical understanding.

$15,000+ and counting!
Yes, but what Sony has done at the time of announcing a $10 upgrade on those games is it puts the original version up for sale at a higher - near full price!
Respect to Shuhei for his tenure and spilling the beans on so much that gone on behind the scenes at PlayStation, the good AND the bad. He seemingly doesn’t have a filter or NDA clause!
Sarah Bond had committed to backwards compatibility, so interpreting Phil Spencer’s quote, old Xbox games will always be playable with a PS3 on PSN like cloud solution, and on new hardware if a new Xbox console is ever released.

I had a look and it seems to me to be a perfectly fine low budget 2d indie game inspired by Hindu-based legends (no offence meant if that's not the correct terminology). It has some nice animated cut-scenes that remind me of a the old eighties epic Mahabharat. Eslop is cynically made to cash in on easy trophy-hunters, or just for the fun of getting a product up on the PSN store. Whilst I haven't played The Kapih, I don't think it's that as it's been made to offer a full g...
