Good observation.
@z2g You shared your objections to Switch as a platform and that's fine - but that's not what the question is about! The question is should Nintendo add a second screen to a new Switch?
In response I said 'the Switch is killing it' which in terms of sales it is, over 110 million units sold which is more than double the Xbox One family whilst being released almost two years after. I don't share this number to criticise the Xbox One, but to highlight how w...
Perfect answer.
The Switch is killing it. It would be foolish for it’s successor to deviate from its successful form factor.
@ravinash Your movies / TV series analogy is spot on.👊🏼 I suggest everyone goes and read it.
Why are some people arguing with others just because they have a different desires for playing games from YOU? It's like saying because your favourite genre is arcade-adventures you're going to argue and disagree with people who prefer RPGs - everyone can have their own preferences! Triple-A isn't going away but having options of different game experien...
Overall, I enjoyed my time playing Stray. I'd probably give it a strong 6/10. It took me more than three hours, nearer to six. I have access to all these big games and they can be daunting; sometimes I turn a console on and just can't be bothered to learn the controls, or remember where I was the last time I played. Part of why I played Stray, besides enjoying making the cat go meow, was that it was so accessible, it has a very basic menu, and knowing that it was short. The ending was...
The mistake Colin Moriarty made was that parts of this Tomb Raider script were directly quoted. If he had just reported on the content then it’s unlikely he would’ve received a DMCA takedown.
The writer Callum Bains sounds like a right knobhead. The article is about how 343i originally had plans for an open world with much broader scope before it had to scale back which would be less varied. 343i Creative Joseph Staton is being remarkably honest which is good to learn what happened.
Bains then ends his article by writing "All that cutting back may well be why Halo Infinite is one of the best Xbox Series X games and a reason to get Game Pass." Now I ha...
“Xbox gets a Stray-killer.”
PS5 Update 22.01-05.50.00.08-00.00.00.0.1 will go down in history as a beloved fan favourite.
Satya Nadella says "Over 4 million. People have streamed, the game to date, including over 1 million who were new to our ecosystem.” He's not specific on the devices people were playing it on so whenever I read obfuscation my ears prick up.
This confirms at least one million brand new players on iOS and Android devices that were previously prevented from doing so by Apple and Google. Part of the three million who already had Xbox accounts are likely, I presume, ...
@Neinridr. What you’re talking about where it shows the player IN the game is called mixed reality capture. It has the potential to be amazing. I’ve suggested it to Sony in comments but I don’t think it’s likely because it can be quite technically complicated. It would be fantastic to dress up as a character and then play the game!

Of course a high spec and premium PC version of a game will be superior to a mass market console version. You see that with Xbox games on PC, and PlayStation games on PC, and even Nintendo first games like Monster Hunter Rise on PC. The fact that Gameluster leads with this headline is evidence of an immature and deliberately divisive editorial line that seeks to get clicks - not from the quality of writing, but from playing up to its fanboy audience.
The COG reviewer clearly enjoyed the no-expenses-spared luxury Las Vegas preview event.
However he shouldn't be recommending his audience make a Day 1 purchase based on just four hours of playtime. The publisher and PR did a great job in inducing hype but hype isn't an appropriate reason to recommend a game. Better to make judgements on a game's quality when you've actually played the full game.
Why all the Hanna Montana hate? People just need to accept that I platinumed it because of the gameplay.
@DarthMarvin I sincerely believe Minecraft has been Xbox’s best acquisition. It allows for traditional gaming at a less intense pace as well as creativity. In the gaming market we all know popular franchises can lose popularity, by comparison Minecraft is an evergreen and timeless game that will likely always have new customers with every generation of children. It requires a Microsoft log in. So it’s almost guaranteed to strengthen Microsoft in the long term. Since the acquisition it’s gene...
Kotaku will be pleased at this news, but would prefer the nudity to be removed completely because it stands against the male gaze of women.
Sanctions against the Russian & Belarusian government I understand. This move of banning gamers from playing feels like it's crossing a line. It's intended to cause discontent amongst citizens that in the longterm will mean a push to change their governments. But just because there is a war going on companies are effectively demonising the Russian people who've done nothing wrong. I think it would be a better strategy to keep the Russian gaming community interacting with the w...
I don't why but I get a sense that writer Joshua Duckworth is not a fan.

Whoops! 🤣
Hopefully, it's just a matter of time before Sony brings PSN account login and trophies to PlayStation games on PC.
