While I agree with the sentiment that I don't want Sony to get too comfortable in 1st place, puff pieces like what bloomberg writes for clicks won't affect Sony's mindset much, if at all. Microsoft becoming a more competent competitor in the gaming market is what could keep Sony from complacency, it's too bad that they can't even manage to do that much though.

The problem is that your system needs to connect to psn to function after swapping the battery. If ps4 psn shuts down, then your ps4 (with it's brand new battery,) still can't play discs. This has been stated like 7x on this thread alone already, it's not hard to find

There's more to the button now but I honestly only use it as a quick screenshot button anyway, so I can't personally answer that question. But share factory is still there and it's upgraded beyond the ps4 version. It's almost a legit editor now

500gb for $100 is the exact same cost per unit as 2tb for the price I mentioned above, $400, which (I'm assuming here, but taking common sense into account a little bit,) not many ps5 gamers are trying to spend extra money for anything less than 2tb. For f*** sake I'm not wasting money on less than 4tb
You're gonna pass on the 5 because it doesn't have themes? Have you even seen the UI at all? I've yet to see anyone explain how themes would even work when there's barely even icons to customize visually..

It feels like a different game when playing it without those constant frame stutters. I know pretty much all games are 30 fps on ps3/ps4, but this series never even felt very close to a full 30 to me before
Dark Souls 3 is the most polished and refined in the series, objectively speaking, and Bloodborne is a masterpiece in the genre in general. Neither is objectively better than the other though. They're different enough that we have to enter the realm of subjectivity to discuss that topic whatsoever

We've been able to play ps4 games off an external since the day the ps5 came out
I'm torn on my opinion of physical vs digital, but I'm pretty convinced that the PS4 era digital store will remain open far longer than most discs will remain in physically playable condition. Those discs will not outlive a digital code that can virtually last forever. (I know someone will want to say that the store will eventually close, but things you've paid for will still be accessible up until the day the company goes under, assuming no one buys out the games division at that...

Got any stats to back that up darth, or is that just what you personally assume? Anecdotally, I don't know anyone that buys the games available on game pass. They play them on there until they get tired of it and then they move on without ever buying the game. I'd be genuinely blown away if the majority of gamers use these services in the way you have just described. I'd be surprised if even as many as 20% of gamers use the service that way
Considering it already runs at 4k on the new gen systems, I hope it's more than just adding 60 fps. I would expect them to at least increase the quality of their assets to match high end pc fidelity
