Just like everything with the X1, they tried to do something different from last gen. More focus on social aspect, integrating TV, different UI, DRM, Kinect must be connected....they tried things. Some didn't work out, they listened and made changes. PS4 played it safe and they are enjoying massive success. Majority of people don't like change.

Controller I think is better then the 360. Rumble motors within each trigger are great, feels solid, bumper and trigger I love, the d-pad is improved, joysticks are better thanks to the rubber material, and battery pack isn't bulging out anymore. Never been a fan of the PS controller with the two thumbsticks right next to each other. But to each their own.
I think the PS4 is better value for $400 compared to the X1 at $500. But I prefer Xbox and the games available for it, not to mention the controller and Live. So that's why I went X1. I bought a 360 first and down the road I got a PS3, although I only had like 4 games for it and ended up selling it. All about preference. $100 isn't a back breaker. I played the BETA a ton, and not once did I go "wow, these graphics aren't that good." I tried playing BF the other day, played one game and turned it off. I'm having TitanFall withdrawal. The gameplay is so much fun and it just feels different than any other FPS available. I know it's not 1080p/60fps and sure, graphics could be slightly better, but the gameplay is what makes the game fun. 15 maps from the get go is awesome. Crackdown has never been about graphics. Probably couldnt tell the difference of 720 vs 1080. Besides, why are we discussing Crackdown lol that game won't sell systems.
Just wait for a used copy to show up at CrapStop, play it for 7 days, then return it for a full refund. The game is short enough you could probably beat it in 2 days. Why spend any money on this joke of a game? Looks great, it's MGS, but I'm sorry a 3-6 hour single player is not worth $40.
This year you look at all the brand new games coming out. Drive Club, Titanfall, Destiny, Sunset Overdrive, Dying Light, Watch Dogs, and a slew of PS games I'm unfamiliar with. Then you have all the sequels for popular games. It's really going to be an excellent year for gamers of each system.
They need to start working on Borderland 3 for next-gen consoles and stop wasting their time with crap games. They are known for Borderlands, so make another Borderlands. Look at Epic, known for making awesome Gears of War games, went and made that giant turd Bulletstorm. Do what you do best. If your known for making awesome hamburgers, don't start making hot dogs.
Not sure about the 7.8 score. If you watch the video review, not 1 negative item is mentioned. And at the end, the only negative is limited split screen. I would have thought the score would be higher since there was no mention of negativity.
I guess since it's been so long ago people are forgetting how amazing the original Halo was. The way enemies took cover and would flank you. Being able to fly and drive vehicles. The offline multiplayer maddness. The story, gameplay, and graphics were all top notch. So yes, it deserved the massive hype. Recent follow up titles haven't lived up to the expectations of the first, but then again few rarely do.

There is no price cut. You still have to pay $500 for an X1. Yes, you get a free game and 1 month of Live, but your still paying $500, just getting some free extras. I bought my X1 and this doesn't bother me. Eventually there would be discounts or bundles. Only a matter of time.
I bought mine on Day 1, no regrets. Eventually the system is going to be price cut more and more. It is what it is. MS is trying to sell systems. They had a solid launch but now sales are declining so a price cut is fine to drive sales.
The game is an exclusive, exclusive to Microsoft. And those who were thinking about moving to next gen, why not move now and get a free game? Def will boost sales. Maybe you didn't play the BETA or maybe your just a bit upset it's not on the PS4/PS3.
I def think it's going to boost sales. Your getting a free game with your X1 purchase. And it's not like your getting some crappy indie game, your getting one of the biggest games of the year. I wish it was a physical disc because I'm not a huge digital fan, but either way a free game is always great.
But don't expect this bundle to sell millions of systems or all of a sudden surpass PS4 sales, that's just silly talk.
My problem with digital games is the resale. You can't let your friend borrow it to play on their system and you can't sell it to CrapStop or on sleazeBay.
I've been saying it for a while now, gameplay is more important than graphics. What's the point of a beautiful game if its unplayable or plays like crap? Yes, graphics are important and nice to look at but at the end of the day, the gameplay has to be smooth and tight or it's not going to be much fun.
I don't understand how people are filling up their hard drives so quick. Do you have every game available? I've got 4 and still have over 250GB free. I'm not worried about space at all. Eventually Madden, NBA 2K, BF, and Forza will get deleted when new ones come out. Heck, I had the original 360 20GB hard drive the entire life of the console. I'd just delete stuff I no longer played.

Why would you cut the price of something that is selling like hot cakes? Even if the X1 was at $400, the PS4 is going to out sell it. Sony doesn't have to do a thing. MS has shot themselves in the foot countless times. I have an X1, no problems with it, but even a blind person can see MS's mistakes.
