A quality TV and excellent sound do so much to make a game immersive, especially a good sound system.

My 360 not only RROd and had broken DVD drive it also lacked HDMI and wifi which was really annoying, particularly the lack of HDMI.

Competition is excellent but I think MS did more to improve Sony this gen. Sony was really lagging behing in the online department (no pun intended), had no achievements, and a very high price.
I also wish Sony would redesign the 15 year old controller design (real triggers for shooters and concave analogs so my fingers don't slide off during NHL)
Sony probably influenced MS to include WiFi and HDMI. Again, competition is good.

I don't think gamers won, the best FPS games this year are both completely lacking in the SP department (COD less so than BF).
What's sad is that DF may be right, these two probably are the best FPS this year...so sad. Both have lacking SP with terrible AI and stories.
Sure, MS focuses everything on Kinect but Kinect really doesn't have any AAA games.
A lot of people have tried to make great games for Kinect but it's obvious the hardware doesn't allow for it.
