Some people settle for mediocrity.

Anyone can playing Sekiro... Only skilled people can beat it though... And you gain that by perseverance. I was raised playing Ghosts N Goblins, Ninja Gaiden, Battletoads, etc. To this day, I can't beat those games. And you know what? I'm fine with that. I'm not skilled enough to beat them. End of story. Do they need an easy mode? No. Sometimes you just gotta admit you're not good enough and move on to other things. Instead they want to lower the bar just so that they can over...

You can get mad man's knowledge and level up in Central Yharnam. He didn't have the patience to play or do a little research.

It just shows that people have gotten used to instant gratification. Whenever a game is even the least bit complex or hard, we get articles crying about difficulty. Heck, remember that journalist that couldn't make it past Cuphead's TUTORIAL? Sounds like a cliche, but it really feels that casuals are the ones writing these articles and not people who are dedicated to video games.

If Nomura is involved in the direction my hopes are extremely low. He should just stick to drawing beautiful girly men and leave the story writing and directing to someone who actually knows what a cohesive story is.

You know, mad respect for the writer of this article. This game isn't for everyone. Heck, I hated it it until it finally *clicked "and now I'm enjoying it. But instead of crying about an easy mode, he admitted that the game was not for him.

STFU already. After you upgrade Wolf a couple of times the game is quite playable. These guys just REFUSE to put in the time and effort to learn how to play the game and then just cry about it. How about just writing an article saying "This game is too hard for me" and go on with their lives.

I second this! Playing Astro Bot I couldn't help but think of how great Ape Escape would be in VR!!!

At first I was just trying to dodge everything like in BB. That does NOT work. 😆

I think it has a higher learning curve. But overall I think it is easier. Regular enemies are pretty much a joke, you can grapple the hell out of danger and bosses and mini bosses all have a strategy to them:

*clink* keep attacking
*clank* parry
*DOOOOM* Mikiri if they are winding a stab, jump if they look like they are winding a sweep, or dodge if they have their arms open for a grab.

It takes a minute to adjust for the pattern of ev...

That name though... I thought I'd be a Soulsborne clone. 😆

So basically he's complaining about no tutorial? What is there to teach? The controls are in messages in the Hunter's Dream. Then off to Central Yharnam. That plaza IS your tutorial. Teaches you to beware of mobs, that there's ambushes from unseen corners, that you HAVE to keep moving (snipers and dogs) and you have a big slow armor guy where you can practice your riposte. You can figure it out without hand holding. Also the whole unwelcoming aspect goes hand in hand with the lore...

Ninja Gaiden has been kicking my ass for 30 years. 😆

I beat the Messenger 100%. Only had trouble in one particular boss and it took me about 5 times. The Messenger is NOWHERE near as hard as Sekiro. And neither is as hard as Ninja Gaiden for the NES.

Still gonna be a buggy mess. I just hope that if that's the case, they will actually be held accountable instead of getting free passes and perfect scores all around.

This article as well as numerous other articles, YouTube videos and reddit threads clearly show people are frustrated with the product and EA is unwilling to listen. People being "loyal" to such practices is why companies keep stepping all over them.

I swear I couldn't even tell if this headline was new or old... Every patch seems to cause problems and fans are "not happy". However they keep putting money and time into the game. They should just move on. There are better games out there and EA won't learn otherwise.

As I posted on another thread. It was very reassuring for us PSVR owners. I'm looking forward for what's coming ahead. Especially the VR mode for No Man's Sky.

Nowadays publishers are barely waiting for a finished product to rush it out the door, much less for "extras". I think it's a sad reflection of the current state of the business. They know they can patch stuff in after release so they don't bother to include a lot of features at launch.

Honestly, I'm thrilled that they seemed to have doubled down on their commitment to VR. The main concern of the PSVR adopters was that Sony suddenly dropped support. But it's reassuring to see that it has a solid lineup going forward.
