I feel like outlets just seem to go out their to dismiss this game as just another open world game from the get go and where just rooting for it to fail. Now that they've seen the polished product they're all like "Whoa! This is might actually be good!". Bend Studio are a talented bunch. It was foolish to judge them so soon without giving them a chance.
I'll admit I know next to nothing about this game or how it plays... But from the artwork to the aesthetics it looks like a MGS ripoff.
To me Soul Calibur could never replicate the level of perfection that was SCII. I have bought every SC game expecting that level of fluidity and complexity in each characteristics just to be disappointed again...
This headline is beyond stupid. In any case, if From was gonna jump in that bandwagon I see Armored Core as a more viable option.

Even though they pretty much fall into the same type of fiction (zombie apocalypse) there tend to be two particular types... Reanimated corpses like in Night of the Living Dead and infected humans with some form of rabies like in 28 Days Later. It's obvious that Days Gone falls under the latter. But let's not kid ourselves. The very first thought that came to everyone's head when they first saw this game was "open world zombie apocalypse".

Claire's story has more fleshed out character interactions and overalls it feels like it moves the narrative. Leon's is much simpler. So I'm gonna have to go with Claire.
Mechanically, it has the best gameplay of any MGS imo. Everything else, story, mission structure, voice acting, cutscenes, etc was a huge step back.
It's "cool" to hate on that game. Apart from being obtuse because of the localization, the atmosphere, gameplay and music still makes it one of the most memorable Castlevanias. It laid the groundwork for 2D exploration games down the line.
After the first playthrough is just find him annoying and somewhat dopey. 😆
