Twin Snakes has voice acting that felt tired and they changed some lines for the worse. The cutscenes became from realistic to Hollywood level ridiculous (I'm looking at you Hind D scene where Snake jumps and bounces off a rocket and then shoots a stinger mid air) and the addition of the MGS2 gameplay made the game stupidly easy. You could just use the dart gun in first person and put everyone to sleep in the hangar with zero risk. The only real improvement was the graphics.

The TouchPad has its uses. It's really up to the devs. Some games open a different menu depending on which side of the TouchPad you touch while pressing the button. Now the SPEAKER on the controller is beyond useless to me. Usually it replicates a sound that's already playing on the speaker or if it doesn't, the sound gets drowned by the music or in game sounds. I turn this off whenever a game has it.
"Dodge" is kind of an overstatement lol. There's the panic move that let's you push zombies, get out of the way of a rocket, etc. But the timing on that feels more like luck than something reliable. I know this is when the series started its turn into action, but I think some sort of dodge mechanic should be added to RE3. I just beat RE2 and being hit by a boss when you knew exactly what attack was coming just because of how slow you move around feels kind of dated.

I think he's more of an annoyance than panic inducing. He's pretty dumb overall and you can just walk around obstacles to avoid him. I find lickers to be more panic inducing. It's usually pitch black when they appear, they're hard to hit, and one straight hit from their pounce and you're in danger.
I felt mostly tension and jump scares in RE2. RE7 I genuinely felt a sense of dread and paranoia (I played it on PSVR). As for which RE game is better? Depends on your taste and what you're looking for. As for which one was a better "horror" game, I'll have to go with RE7.

Honestly, I like RE5 more. 4 was fun and the gameplay still holds up. But the whole rescuing the president's daughter, fighting a cult in a medieval castle and giant statues of an evil midget is just beyond silly. I've always said RE4 is a great game, just a horrible RESIDENT EVIL game.

Pffff. Sephiroth??? In FFVII he was killed when he got thrown into the lifestream and frozen in ice... Then got revived... And got killed... Again... Then on Advent Children by some nonsensical plot device, he came to life... And was killed... AGAIN. Cloud handed his ass to him time and time again. If anything Cloud should be in that list instead of Sephiroth.
Maybe in a world where people actually held Bethesda accountable for releasing buggy messes instead of saying bugs are part of the "charm" of their games. Bethesda has gotten away for too long with releasing broken games and get free passes by the media and the fans for things that would not fly with any other developer. Now they released a game that is purely about gameplay instead of story and people are somehow surprised that it's a broken piece of crap.
Kingdom Hearts... The story for those games is an unnecessarily convoluted mess with 3 main titles and about 4 times that amount of spin offs that just keep adding to that mess. It's like the emperor's new clothes. KH fans just pretend to understand the story but in fact have no idea what's going on XD.
Resident Evil 4 is a great game, just not a great RESIDENT EVIL game. It's a game about saving the president's daughter from a cult that lives in a medieval castle run by a midget. As much as I like the game, the premise is absurd and it barely adds to the story of the series as a whole.
