I didn't subscribe to EGM when it had its first run (wasn't too big on magazines at the time), but I'm considering it when it comes back in March.
Keighley's ambitions for the VGAs seem to be very high. That's fine with me, but the one thing I find weird is that he wants the show to appear to a more mainstream demographic in addition to hardcore gamers.
It would be neat to see Mega Man change direction (depending on how this "new" game would turn out), but I wonder what Inafune has in mind.
If I'm remembering correctly, the magazine was going to be relaunched this year. Obviously, that won't be happening. We'll have to see next year if it really will come back in March.
Well I can't really complain much this week with the release of Smash Bros. And this must mean Pilotwings will be out next week.
Now I just hope Castlevania or Cave Story are one of next week's WiiWare releases.
It's interesting how the reviews for The Crystal Bearers have been inconsistent. Game Informer gave the game a 5.5, yet here Nintendo Power gave it an 8.0. I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, but it does seem to be a little disappointing so far.
The most recent comment from Nintendo (well, Reggie) is that they basically seem interested in waiting for the next console since there "there will be more to it" instead of just HD support.
I do appreciate seeing Wii games in 720p, but these shots aren't the best. In the first/fourth screens especially, it looks a bit grainy. Still, like I said, I find it neat to see how Wii titles appear in 720p.
The DS has just been fantastic since the first version of the system launched. I would have never guessed that the DS brand would be this successful when Nintendo announced the system.
I wonder what kind of year it'll have next year - Another iteration of the handheld, the DSi XL, will be out in North America early next year.
Hm. It is a trademark, but trademarks have been on the money lately. Perhaps they'll reveal it at E3 like ruler said.
I understand why they put Donkey Kong on that list as a villain, but it seems funny anyway. These days, DK hasn't really taken on the role of a villain - He even races alongside Mario in Mario Kart!
It's just a mobile version of the game, basically. Sad to say that it's not a new game or anything.
Blah. Pretty underwhelming lineup overall. Doesn't sound like there will be any announcements made at the show either.
So far, Bayonetta has been receiving pretty good scores. I was surprised that EDGE had given the game a 10/10. I wonder how other outlets will rate the game.
Hmm. I haven't heard many good things about the console versions of Avatar, but I've yet to try out the game myself.
There's a lot of low scores there, but many of them are actually deserved like Wheelspin, Tony Hawk: Ride, and Avatar.
Wow. Nice numbers for Wii, PS3, and even the PSP. And I'm surprised that Famitsu's estimates weren't off by that much overall.
Tomodachi Collection is actually different than Tamagotchi Collection! The first game was made for Nintendo and is an experience comparable to that of The Sims. The second product is the one you're thinking of.
I guess that isn't an awful figure for the PS3 version of Modern Warfare 2. However, I'd be surprised if its position didn't fall off next week.
I'm not a huge fan of the Star Force games, but I just can't complain about titles like Mega Man 10. They're retro goodness, and I don't feel like they're awful releases.
