Wow, I think this might be the best Nintendo Download week of the year. Castlevania Rebirth (finally), Pilotwings, and The Magic Obelisk should all be great.
Well, the good news is that Inafune genuinely seems interested in creating Mega Man Legends 3. Even most recently, people have said that he would like to make it when he has some time.
It's interesting that pretty much the whole Mega Man franchise has been in 2D. Even to this day, games like Mega Man 10 are in the classic 8-bit style. I know Capcom is getting a lot of flack for that, which I understand, but I personally don't mind it much. On the other hand, I would like to see a new Mega Man Legends game...
That really does look like Windows XP...
Right now it doesn't seem like it's worth making a big deal over this, especially since Larrabee doesn't have a firm release date yet and apparently they're somewhat behind on the development of the processor.
Er, just so you know, Media Create numbers for the latest sales have already been released. They're in post, below the Famitsu numbers. Usually Famitsu numbers come before Media Create, but not this week.
Some people like to see how Famitsu/Media Create differ, though, and there clearly are some differences between both reports.
As usual, some figures from Famitsu differ from Media Create, like the PS3, Wii, and DSi. That's to be expected, though. PSP/DSi LL/DS Lite/PSP go figures are pretty similar.
It's interesting that the original New Super Mario Bros. is in the top 20. Looks like the new Wii game spurred sales of the DS title.
Definitely keeping an eye on this game. January won't be such a bad month for Wii between this and No More Heroes 2.
It's amazing that New Super Mario Bros. Wii and Final Fantasy XIII have taken two of the slots in such a short amount of time. Then again, we knew those two would sell very well.
Haha, I suppose Christmas is the logical option. Don't know why I didn't realize that, although it seems like the holiday isn't as big an event there.
Wow, that's a very tight race between the PS3 and Wii. But I wonder why the Wii went up this week, since New Super Mario Bros. Wii has been out for awhile and there were no huge releases.
Haven't had a chance to try out Windows 7 myself.
It's amazing that Wolverine wasn't completely awful on the PS3/360, considering it's a licensed product.
This reminds me that I should upgrade one of my other computers, which is still using XP.
Well, we knew that Final Fantasy XIII would be topping the charts this week. But I wonder how the rest of the month/next few weeks will play out.
I was very surprised about the Avatar review. I haven't played the game, but pretty much everything I've heard about it has been negative.
For those wondering, Dark Void is expected to be released on time.
It would make sense for this not to be Etrian Odyssey related, since the third game was announced this month. But if it really isn't Shin Megami Tensei/Persona related either, then perhaps this is a new game from the company entirely.
Not a whole lot of movement on the charts from last week, as games are basically shifting a position (except for FIFA).
