That's a huge start for Mario Bros. Wii indeed, but I wonder if Nintendo had expected more units (or perhaps less) to be sold. Will wait to see how it does in a week's time.
Out of that list, I'd go with #1 as well.
2 weeks I believe. And New Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out in Japan today.
Wow, Wii and PS3 were extremely close this week. Guess this goes to show why we always need to wait for Media Create data.
Guys, full Famitsu numbers are finally in. I've updated the pot with the data.
Very nice numbers for Professor Layton. Other than that, Famitsu's estimates were fairly accurate. Next week will definitely be more interesting with Mario Bros. Wii, Assassin's Creed 2, Samurai Warriors 3, and PokePark Wii.
Just checked. Samurai Warriors 3 comes out tomorrow along with Mario Bros. Wii, Assassin's Creed 2, PokePark Wii, and a few others.
@ Infernostew - That's true, but I believe it comes out tomorrow, not last week.
There are no 360 numbers because this isn't a direct Famitsu leak. These numbers were reported by Sinobi, the Japanese gaming blog. Media Create will, however, share the complete list of numbers tomorrow.
There are some missing figures because these are numbers from Sinobi, not a general leak.
Media Create numbers will be released tomorrow night.
I'm interested in this, but it's sad that Nintendo of America isn't even bringing over Soma Bringer.
That's cool I guess, but I don't know if I'd like to take that around with me.
Yeah, sadly it doesn't look like Amaterasu will be back in this game. I'm just happy there is an Okami sequel, though.
Hmm. We'll have to see if these numbers stick. Strange, though, since there were no huge Wii releases next week. New Super Mario Bros. Wii comes out on Thursday.
This is probably my most anticipated DS game right now.
Just wondering, why would you want a Kung Fu Panda FPS?
Kind of a predictable chart, but it's great to see Professor Layton doing well.
Seems like a neat mod.
NSMBW sold 420,000, actually, but not a big difference. Apparently the first New Super Mario Bros. sold 422,000 on its first day.
About Assassin's Creed 2, I'm not surprised that it didn't sell more. Japanese gamers usually don't embrace western titles too much.
