It's nice to see someone acknowledging Okamiden. I know it hasn't been confirmed for North America, but that's my most anticipated DS game of 2010 by far.
Yikes, not good news at all. And listening to the podcast, Hantzopoulos did seem pretty disappointed.
Hmm. Personally, I'd rather see him develop games for the PS3 rather than the PSP, although I'm not a PSP hater.
Super Mario Bros. 2 is in more or less words a re-skinned version of Doki Doki Panic, so it makes sense that Nintendo went with the ending they did for Mario Bros. 2.
I don't hate homebrew at all. However, I wouldn't take the chance of trying to install it on my Wii. I understand that the process itself is fairly simple, but it just doesn't seem worth it. I'd probably end up doing something stupid (like forgetting to install firmware with alternative methods) and end up bricking the system.
Famitsu's numbers from about two weeks ago are in fact a little outdated at this point (in terms of the latest numbers available), which is why New Super Mario Bros. Wii now has shot up to the third spot according to Media Create.
Glad that didn't happen to me.
Well, that's strange. I'm a little surprised they have a game in development for iPhone, as it came out of nowhere really. I'm not sure how interested I'll be in that title.
I already liked Naughty Dog as a developer, but I respect them ever more after their co-president made such warm comments about the Wii. It's nice that even though his company creates games for the PS3, Wells appreciates what Nintendo has done with the Wii/Wii Sports games.
I just find it interesting how well New Super Mario Bros. Wii has been selling. We knew it'd do well, but its performance has truly been fantastic in North America, Japan, and Europe.
Basically, here's how it works:
1. Famitsu posts their software rankings.
2. Media Create posts software numbers, usually top 30, later in the day/early the next day.
3. Famitsu posts their software figures, with numbers, the week after.
So, basically, we're going to have to wait a little bit before we see actual numbers.
I'm personally happy to see that Spirit Tracks is at number two. I knew it wouldn't be a number one with New Super Mario Bros. Wii, but the game deserves good sales. Really enjoyed it.
There really are a lot of great classic quotes on that list. “You spoony bard!", “It’s a secret to everybody" and "Good morning, Chrono!" are some of my personal favorites.
Not surprised that Uncharted 2 took the top spot, but it's deserved.
Was just thinking the same thing, really.
There are some nice choices on there, and I like that Spider-Man 2 was mentioned on there. I remember having such a blast with that game.
Makes sense, but hopefully they won't push back games too far back that people are really looking forward to.
I'm actually quite a big fan of the series now after playing 358/2 Days. So I'm pretty interested in this title as well.
We've heard about this a few times, so why can't people play a little less or tone down their actions? I really haven't had any problem playing a Wii game (as in hurting myself afterward).
Many of those are overlooked gems for sure. I still can't believe how many people ignore the Shantae series.
