The numbers for Modern Warfare 2 fall somewhere around:
PS3 version - 117,000
360 version - 61,000
Pretty good numbers for the Wii, but as I always say, I'll wait for Media Create numbers before I believe sales 100%. Next weeks data should be really interesting though with FFXIII.
So both versions of Modern Warfare 2 made it into the top 10 according to Famitsu. I wonder how long that'll stick. Western games usually fall of the charts quickly.
Then you can get it legally!
Well, I'm looking forward to this game very much. Apparently it's coming to the PS3/360 too.
That's a good score for sure, but the weird thing is that Phantom Hourglass received a 39/40. To me, Spirit Tracks is a better game, although I don't think either two titles deserve a 39.

That was one of the winners that I was a little taken aback by, only because the other games are great, too. That said, Mario & Luigi is such a fun game. The series has always been fantastic.
So the big winners were basically Uncharted 2 and Modern Warfare 2 - Not a big surprise about that.
And I actually enjoyed this show much more that the VGAs. No celebrities, no performances, it was just about the games.
Is it just me, or are a lot of these things being leaked through resumes?
While I don't expect this to happen, it'd be hilarious if the game was cel-shaded. Link could end up looking incredibly odd. Cel-shaded graphics seem to suit Zelda games best when Link is young (although I suppose I can't say for sure since we haven't seen Link as an adult in that style).
The past few months, it feels like Pokemon HeartGold/SoulSilver and Tomodachi Collection have been selling like crazy. Almost made me forget about how well Dragon Quest IX and Monster Hunter 3 did earlier in the year.
2-D games have definitely been accepted on the DS (Might and Magic: Clash of Heroes is my latest favorite 2-D game on the system, by the way). But I wish companies would take more risks with 2-D. Muramasa: The Demon Blade proved that such a style can work on consoles.
Guess I should keep my eye on this.
Right now my expectations for this game are pretty low for this title. I thought the trailer shown during the VGAs was underwhelming.
Seems like the first few months are focused more on DS releases rather than Wii releases. The only big first-party Wii game in those dates is Endless Ocean 2.
Not such a great week. Essentially, a download is wasted with Littlest Pet Shop and Master of Illusion Express: Matchmaker.
I just don't see any real reason why the game shouldn't be in development for at least Wii. Generally speaking, the game fared quite well on the system. Not so much for the DS, but if n-Space were to develop the sequel again, they might be able to address some of the complaints in the first one since they are a competent developer.
I might be wrong about this, but wasn't there some random Monster Hunter game in the works that wasn't really an action-RPG? Wonder if it's that. If not, then things could be interesting.
I'll admit I'm pleased that Uncharted 2 won Game of the Year.
The PSP sales are good, but not the PSP go.
