Respect to the planetxbox360 guys, very refreshing to see.
BS comparisons cooked up by either:
1) fanboy
2) Someone wanting attention/hits
Not a particularly good one either.
I for one don't actually care.
I have a PS3, I love the stuff I can play and do on my PS3 and that's all that matters to me. Wouldn't trade it for the world.
A few things swayed me to buy a PS3...
1) RROD - shamefully high percentages
2) Games - I prefer what the PS3 has to offer
3) Value for money - the PS3 actually works out cheaper for someone serious
4) BS routines - Sony got off to a bad start with hot air but MS and US based fanboys have definitely surpassed that blunder
It wasn't a quick decision, took me a good 12 months. I was originally a supporter of the xbox over the PS2 but things change, ne...
I like how this has been posted in the PS3 and PC sections, someones holding onto their one great hope...
No there are none, not retail anyway.
They're upscaled, that's just MS doing what it does best by inferring on the box that its games are 1080p.
Ah... the guy with both consoles...
You think you'd know there are quite a few native 1080p games, the majority being PSN but also several retail games.
Love people that say they own both consoles and don't have a clue.
That's not really true, the majority of PSN exclusives are 1080p native and their are several retail games also.
Sony doesn't advertise a game as being 1080p unless it is native, unlike MS who have no retail versions at 1080p, yet they put 1080p on the box... very unlike MS... *cough*
Live does have at least one 1080p native game, maybe a couple more but reports contradict one another.
So there you go, yes there are native 1080p game and yes it is miles ...
Don't be an twad, or at least read what you're replying to.
Talk about being selective and going off on a tangent. He turned it from a title debate to a platform one, the rest is there in black and white.
He should get a PS3 as he seems to have little idea even though he 'owns' one too (like everyone else and their dog who wants to make a point).
Learn to read.
You've obviously never heard of Quake then.
You have seriously poor tastes.
Nice to see after all your pro Halo posts you've gone and shown your true colours and turned it into a platform debate.... well done. I doubt you even own a PS3 by the sounds of it.
Save your pingers and buy yourself one, that'll shut you up.
I think you have that around the wrong way.
With the original Doom and then Quake, you could die very quickly. Games were you can kill fast tend to take more skill and are less newb friendly, hence why they have been progressively diluting the FPS genre since those early days of the originals. So as not to alienate the new players.
This is also a problem some people are experiencing with R2, they can't handle the jandle because they haven't learnt enough to survive f...
Just goes to show how much there is to play on the console ;)
Yes I'm being a bit of a biatch, so don't take it to heart. Just feel the Halo series is seriously over hyped.
Only if you believe the MS hype, ah wait... you obviously do. Carry on.
I never understood the Halo hype, played it and hated it. Physics, cartoony aliens, bleeck. Bypassed 2 completely, mate bought H3 and have to say it look more dated than the rubbish that Haze was.
I doubt there ever will be a Halo killer as well, reason being that anyone that thinks the series is any good is most likely delusional and easily fed hype anyway. From what I've played of the series it barely made the grade against other FPS's way back then.
Awesome stuff man, nicely said :)
Dude, chill... you're taking your brands far too seriously if you're going to get fumed so easily.
Short answer, no.
Why does everyone mention Bioshock?
No one I know bothered with it because they'd already played it by the time it got to PS3. Just because it was a big hit once upon a time doesn't mean jack when it was delayed so long.
Bioshock 2 may be a different story, but if you're trying to say that the title that bumped the 360 sales up helped the PS3 you'd be pretty badly misguided.
Talk about clutching at straws.
One guy doesn't make a team or studio.
Anyone who thinks otherwise hasn't worked in the industry.
