At one stage of the game I thought this was visually looking a lot better than infamous, but this got stuck somewhere and infamous accelerated on past.
Still, looks like it could be some fun... maybe.
Another griper without a PS3, cool. Save up some money and do us a favor, buy yourself one and then you won't have to come across as being just another bitter.
Cheers.
And I'm guessing judging by past posts, you don't have a PS3.
He is saying this ever couple of months, it's a tactic...
"don't buy a PS3 today because there's a price cut coming soon, just wait a little."
It's to put people off, otherwise do you think he'd actually bother to tell everyone all the time?
Haha, the advertising here on TV had no gameplay, just CG. So, you can kinda see that happening.
This is only based on US data anyway, it's not global. Let's compare Japanese sales and report it once both are out there for a month (neglecting to mention the country).
Right? Right.
Global, push global.
I actually liked the first games era, not so sure about this one.
Might be alright but dunno if I can take the character as seriously. Apart from there being little variation in what you're doing on the first one, everything else was pretty cool the way it was.
Dude, XLive, Gears1&2 vs Killzone 2 comparison (which is definitely your own opinion, or you're just mad)...
...this adds to the topic how?
10 points for missing out on what the article was trying to say.
It'll get very hot in here but the article does make some very valid observations. At least as far as watching headlines, reading posts on N4G goes anyway.
Cheers.
@ Parapraxis: No need , it's all good.
@jack who
If my memory serves me correctly, the original Halo was still using health packs.
@Parapraxis
Any additional text can make the reply unjust, I would not have been so blunt had your originally post been as elaborate. Thanks!
What a load of tosh, guessing you didn't play on the N64 much huh?
And if you're talking sales and hype then get a grip as well, It's hardly revolutionizing the genre.
[edit] If you're going to edit your posts, at least put where you're editing them so replies stay in sync.
OMG Halo revolutionized nothing?!
Maybe if you were a newbie to the whole FPS genre at the time. As for MAG I don't think it'll be reinventing the genre either, get a grip.
Prototype with its one button stuff doesn't really appeal to me, if I'm going to do some awesome moves I'd at least like to be responsible. Infamous looks to be... as many have said, a bit deeper. Which suits me better.
I'm surprised people are so eager to suck up anything they dish out.
Not really my visual style, looks a little gordy and artificial. Graphically lacks a little depth (atmospherics and DoF).
However premise/idea has some promise.
Carmack is a bit of a Gabe when it comes to the PS3's cell, or at least he was on release. He used to be adverse to the apparent increase in complexity of programming (yes he's a smart man, but he still likes easier).
I wouldn't hold out for great things from Rage on the PS3 unless he's changed his mind.
Hmmm, I actually thought Deep Space did the trick with the atmosphere, you could feel the chill of space almost at times. Bits I didn't like were the arcade sequences that were no doubt chucked in to mix things up, but these were pretty scarce.
Each to their own I guess. I thought it worked really well, great control system, health level affecting movement & animations, sound, lighting. Not the best game ever but still one of the best ones in it's genre.
Hell, all I want is good games... so far no complaints.
