I subscribe to the above, it wasn't perfect but it did excel in a few areas (there just wasn't enough of it for my liking).
I like how you have to miss a post to try and make a very weak point when it is plainly obvious of the intent.
I'm not annoyed, just really surprised you would rather argue than admit maybe you'd got it wrong, Internet pride and all that I guess. First rule in Internet debates, if someone takes sentences as their quotes rather than the entirety of a post (or even a series if struggling with context) then they are probably trouble. More power to you if it makes you hap...
Posted in the wrong line
Sigh, SCEE/European Blog is AU/NZ.
You were being pedantic, my intital statement of regional taxes was clarified to cover some regions in my second post (my first post to you), I was well aware of VAT and the problems associated with it. I actually don't care what you were referring to or mistakingly took my post in reference to, you replied to me, not the otherway around. You got the wrong end of the stick and are now isolating a region because it doesn't suit your a...
And that's where we will disagree, I'm not sure what sources you're referencing but you need to do a bit of research. In my country and a close neighbour GST is not paid on or claimed for digital transactions.
I've been more than nice about it, if you want to enlighten yourself and do a little fact finding please be my guest.
Ah, the Wikipedia edit, nice:
As it states, GST is not in effect in Australia or New Zealand until 201...
I thought it would have been fairly straight forward to have understood what the no was in reference to, if you re-read the line you quoted it may give you a hint.
But to spell it out, I said they don't pay regional specific taxes on digital goods (in relation to their digital discounts and sales), you said they did, I then said no they don't, which they don't. Instead of getting all up in arms and making rash assumptions you're probably better off dealing wit...
No there's a lot of services taxes they don't pay, hence why countries are introducing them digitally. They are factored in on digital due to retail, but with countries that don't enforce it for online purchases, they don't actually pay it.
It's used as an excuse, but at this point in time it's invalid for most regions on digital.
It more of a dodge on their oddly inconstant Sony exchange rates for different regions, they have some weird calculation that on one title will give you fair current exchange, then on another will cost 30% more than it should. No one has ever complained about not being included out of the normal euros, pounds and AUD the listed with.
They can't even post discount percentages because they vary too, one country might have 30% off, another will be 12%. Go figure, a percentag...
I have to admit Destiny felt really good, but not buying into a yearly purchase every year that regurgitates content multiple times for multiple missions.
Hardware Rivals was obviously meant to be free to play going off the beta, it was fun but wasn't ever going to be a premium game and thought it weird they recently announced a price for it. Almost as bad as giving us the first chapter of an episodic game, good old Sony, as crafty as ever.
The fact that it neutered my original physical copy is why I won't buy into TTK or any future 'year' releases. There's one thing having an expansion, it's another when they take away original content to sell it.
Bungie would get worst dev of 2015 from me easily.
I won't get into which is better as they both suit different styles of play, but I will say as far as content goes I find CoD tends to have a bit more bang for your buck.
I'd add in Destiny and to a lesser but no less worrying, Black Ops 3 - Pay to win microtransactions patched in post release is a terrible trend. They don't do it during review and purchase cycles, they wait until sales have been made and then drop it in. I'm sure if it were challenged it wouldn't be found legal.
Insomniac are great developers, I'm a PS4 owner and even though I'd love to play this I'm actually just happy to see they're still developing awesome games, looks mint.
The people here that are missing the fact they promised you could complete the Platinum Trophy originally for members that paid for PS+ are a bit of a worry. There is no sense of entitlement, there's a sense of believing people should be honest before they go promoting their service and then changing things once they have people's money.
It's all in black and white, people that don't get that should either read a bit more so they understand the actual issue or...
If you read the comments on the PS Blog post the official line is that the blu-ray is the best value method to purchase all content, or you can up upgrade the PS+ version.
Sounds a bit in reverse
They said in the PS+ version you would be able get the Platinum Trophy, since then in the article above they've said you can't because the tour mode doesn't have all the tracks. Doesn't take a genius to work out that things have changed huh?
Also I wish people would stop calling it a demo, or even a large demo. it's not, it's no more than shareware, just like the games of old where you could play an episode of the game fully functional bar content for ...
I have to be honest, it'd be my least favourite of the series and lacked the pacing that made the first two great, it never really ramped up and your foes were average people. I'd probably give it about an 8, it was good and while it had true moments of greatness it just didn't gel, too many game designers putting everything together patchwork style.
BF3 shouldn't be top of the list, how many iterations do people want.

People were ready to jump on this even before release and there was a bit of an echo chamber effect from there. It wasn't perfect but there was a lot to appreciate and I look forward to them improving on things with a future release.
