Im a 360 owner and downloads to help a game run smoother doesnt bother me at all. My only concern would be the strain it would have on a hard drive.
PS3 owners, have you had any trouble with HD filling up too quickly?
Heavenly Sword looked like such a great game. Beautiful graphics, solid enough gameplay. I know it was short but why did it get such low reviews?
LOL that was actually pretty funny.
Hmm that sounds like a good idea to me. Perhaps a new blade or option in the marketplace where you can download movies, music, games, etc.
This sounds like Open zone trash to me.
I dont agree with this. Maps add to the experience of the game, and it costs developers money to make them. While the pricing may be arguable, I dont think its unacceptable that they ask for money.
However themes and gamer pics dont add to the gaming experience and i definately think charging for these is gouging. At the very least they cost way too much.
This guy is just flaming, and his opinion is deeply flawed. Obviously, yes, some past games wont be able to integrate the controller, but who the hell plays Shadowrun anymore anyway? Just stupid. As long as Halo Gears or COD use it what else matters?
Having said that, if it is to work they want it to, they have to put more interest in their casual games, and not just put out junk. All they need is one stellar party game, akin to WiiSports or Mario Party, and along with XBLA, i...
If they model it with the same buttons as the actual Xbox controller that would be ideal in my mind. Two analogs, a dpad, four buttons. The trick would be how to do the triggers and the bumpers. Maybe model it like to OG controller, with a black and white button. Id say put actual triggers on the back, a little bit lower then the top of the system, and have bumpers on the top. Ive got big hands and the PSP is just a little too small for me so hopefully they make it with older gamers in mind. ...
What would be awesome is if they build a handheld that plays all the OG Xbox games. If they wanna hit hard out the door I would say try to make a good chunk of must have OG Xbox titles ready to launch with it on Day 1. In fact if you get Halo 1 ready to go on day one, that would sell huge. With MS support Ill bet it will be able to support Flash PLayer better then the PSP.
Imagine being able to play Halo, KOTOR, and Splinter Cell on a portable.
And a more involved combat system. It was one button if I recall, which is ok, but maybe they can take a look at what Fable 2 is doing with their one button combat system.
Call me a pauper then, Ill take SC over MGS any day.
Im playing through Chaos Theory right now. I think the story is phenomenal if you really pay attention. Its all about information warfare, and computer hackers being kidnapped to get algorithms to hack into military systems. Japan hasnt been allowed to have a proper army since WW2 so a rebel general is using trying to frame China or Korea and start WW3. On top of all that a friend of Sam, the president of a mercenary company, is bankrolling the whole thing.
The scene where Sam ...
If they did that I would buy a Zune.
For a kid playing, I dont think they will "get it". But, yeah, for me, they play with the ideas of sex and death in a cute way, but its still kind of disturbing.
I tried Carcassone. Couldnt figure it out. Guess i need someone to explain it to me. Right now Im having a lot of fun with Puzzle Quest.
Oh, dude, I dont necessarily agree about Halo either. I think they are great games, and I might say Halo 1 deserves a place on this list, but I guess its kinda iffy to put any specific series on a list like this cause its not gunna appeal to everyone.
Having said that Halo is perhaps one of the biggest things to happen to gaming and on that merit alone perhaps it is worth playing through at least once.
Kinda like watching Star Wars. Like it or not its kind of a r...
Its a problem because he is destroying potentially good game/movie franchises and making it hard for good game movies to be greenlighted. His movies make up a good chunk of what producers look at when deciding to fund movies like Halo.
Dude, Im sure Ill get buried under a ton of disagrees for this, but it takes a certain type of gamer to appreciate the FF series. Not my game at all, and try as I might I just couldnt get into it.
I gotta see it for myself, but, honestly, Im not all that impressed. It has a couple cool features, like listening to music/movies together, but it seems like its basically a glorified menu system, possibly a bit too complicated for its own good. My question is, how complicated is it to navigate through different things? If I want to play a game, am I going to have to go "walk" somewhere?
It may be really cool, I may really like it, but for now Im not sure...
I have a 360 and, yeah, if it wasnt for the RROD, MS would have been in a much better position then they are now. As a 360 fan its embarassing, but mostly because its such a great system otherwise. MS really dropped the ball, and if it hadnt been for the RROD there would be very little to complain about.
Having said that, while it may be stupid, despite all the problem we as 360 owners have had, almost everyone I know hasnt given up on the 360, despite its huge flaws. Im not tr...
