There is definate need for companies to hype good games. If MS, PS, or N would pay attention to games that get good reviews, more unknown games would do better and get sequels. I would like to see Beyond Good and Evil 2, and I think if it was released on XBL or PSS maybe more people would get to play it, and a sequel could get green lighted. From a business point of view these types of games are potential money makers that they arent tapping into.
Because us older gamers like hearing that there are still responsible even headed parents who actually watch what their kids are doing, and even though their kids are gunna think they are evil and hate them for the entirety of their adolescence, they will thank them someday.
Plus there are almost 20 responses in less then 10 minutes so Im guessing enough people like hearing this kind of news that its legitimate to report it. And obviously you do to because you "wasted"...
Home sounds cool, Im just confused why its appropriate for a gaming console. I dont doubt people will use it, but unless its unbelievably stupendously awesome, will people be actively involved in it a year from its launch?

I thought nothing of it until people started bringing it up. I have never played a game with this kind of setting, and I think it looks great. So i guess if the main character was black it would be ok then?
Things have changed for me since I started paying attention to reviews. I used to be able to enjoy most games but since I started seeking out reviews I only purchase what gets good marks. Having said that there are a couple franchises that I purchase as long as the reviews are decent, even if they are under an 8.0.
But I also have to consider that games are much more complex now then they were 10 years ago. Now you have to consider framerates, story, and lasting appeal of a gam...
That would be cool. Hadnt thought of that. That way I could download an HD movie and it would be ready to play when I go home.

I dont own a PS3, but if I did I would wait until the reviews start showing up to decide. Xbox online and DLC are a big consideration though.

If you say anything negative about Sony or positive about 360 you autmoatically get buried under disagrees, even if what you say is 100% true and provable.

On the one hand, Im slightly encouraged by the possibility that EA may be changing its model. On the other hand its EA and I cant stand them so Im not holding my breath.
I agree. Good graphics are nice, but as long as the game looks pretty good, has a decent framerate, well balanced gameplay, and a good story, Im happy.

If more people gave an informed response we might actually be able to talk about games, and cut all the stupid high school bull$hit "my console is better then yours".
Its not about the hardware people, its about the games. I would rather focus on storytelling and gameplay, then all this graphics crap.
