Shock: another negative article about the 360 on N4G.
Its not an identity crisis, its called diversifying.
sigh. as long as i have been a gamer i just cant understand the hostility towards "opposing consoles". ive been an xbox owner since the original, never had an interest in PS2, didnt get a 360 until about 2 years give or take after launch, and i just recently bought a PS3.
Bottom line: Both are great systems, both have great games, both have their flaws, and there is only one reason to favor one and trash the other - if youre a complete moron. Im not trying to be offensi...
Good call on Clancy Brown.
Beyond coolness would be if they got Kevin Conroy.
I dunno. I bought MGS4 and while I may be in the minority I agree. It is a fun game but the cutscenes are lengthy and generally dont do much to push the story forward. If they were in a movie people would probably complain about excessive dialog. I think MGS is a game that has grown with people so they dont notice it so much, or it just doesnt bother them. But for people new to the series like me I find some of it to be tiresome and unnecesary. Sorry but I still prefer Splinter Cell.

Whatever. Another opinion from a self-important prik who thinks he's the Malcolm X of the gaming world.
I definately think the game has potential. Im keeping my eyes on it...
I gotta say, Ubisoft used to be one of my favorite developers, but they have kind of fell off in the current gen arena. But everything here looks amazing. They have recaptured my interest.
Hmm, sadly you guys are totally right. Its nothing but fact when it comes from your favorite console and nothing but BS when it comes from the competition.
The PR/Business aspect of the gaming industry has bothered me for a while. So much of it is so out of touch with gamers, and, quite frankly, shows a lack of understanding. Its an old mans business in a young mans world. They think we are stupid apparently, and think we dont get it when they spin things.
It seems to me, with this years line up, that Xbox is trying to shed its "shooter only" pants. There a few games on this list that I wouldnt get, but I recognize that this list is much more diverse then past lineups, and there is a bit of everything for everyone this year. Looks good to me.
You gotta admit, that dialogue WAS pretty funny...not in a good way. Was hoping for more from this game.
Yeah, Banjo was the surprise for me too. I think its great that a console known more for its hardcore audience, its a platformer that caught my attention.
I agree with you, but it kinda looks like Xbox is doing exactly that with this years line up. Too Human and Fable for example.
This years content is much more divisive then last years. Last year it was all shooters which generally makes everyone happy. This year games are coming out in a variety of different genres so people are more picky.
Some people dont like RPGs, some people dont like beat-em-ups, yet, shockingly, the majority of people are still excited for the big shooters coming out this year.
I think the Xbox exclusives are great, but I can understand why people may be underwhelmed...
Yeah, people referring to the PC as a console is a tired argument. A 360 plays games, you dont have to spend insane amounts of money to augment it, and you dont have to worry about the muss and fuss on a PC.
We are lucky enough to have a console that lets us play some of the must have titles from the PC, and, so far, seems to have the best ports.
I dont want to add flame bait, but the console war is essentially between 360, PS, and Wii. If (in that realm) the 360 get...
Indeed. Its really up to the gamers to decide because of course people are going to blow their own horn.
That being said I do think that Xbox has a solid line-up this year if only because they are pushing into different genres, expanding their library. Arguably not as impressive as PS3s lineup (depending on your tastes) but they have a good mixture this time, instead of just shooters.
As a matter of fact Im getting exactly what I wanted this year. Last year was the ...
Yeah, its unfortunate but people obviously abuse the system. I think its funny when people make comments like that because it proves that they are flaming about a console and games that they dont even play.
The ability to fart adds absolutely nothing to these games. In fact, I forgot about the expressions in Fable. Never cared for it.
Xbox is doing just fine in the American market. Wii is still selling consoles left and right, but for most they just turn into paperweights. PS3 is picking up in the US but has really taken hold in the European market.
Xbox: lacks brand recognition, had the RROD issue, but has a killer library and the best online setup. This is just my guess but I think a big problem is that the Asian and European market just dont like/trust American products.
PS3: PS3 has the bi...
