If the Xbox One can't win September 2014's NPD with this deal, it'll be very problematic.
Microsoft is pulling out all the stops. What I don't get is, if they have the money to pay for all these games for new Xbox One owners, why didn't they just drop the Xbox One Bundle WITH Kinect down to $399?
His disagrees are because of people's dislike of the situation, not because they think @Kingthrash360 is incorrect (he is correct, as you pointed out). But like you said, Japan never fully embraced the Xbox Brand. And combine that with the fact that Japanese are moving more toward handhelds and mobile gaming, the Xbox was probably never going to out sell Sony or Nintendo's home consoles.
As a PS4 gamer I have to say I think the Xbox One may win Holiday 2014. Because if you look, the only AAA exclusives Xbox has released in 2014 has been Titanfall(I know it's on PC as well) and Kinect Sports Rivals. In other words, Microsoft has piled up all their exclusives for late Sept through late Nov…But if Xbox does win this holiday, it won't be by much
I'll pick Destiny only because i'm less of a FPS gamer and more of an RPG gamer that dabbles in FPS…So Destiny seems like the game for me
I don't know if I'd give Sony 18M by the end of 2014…Then again I thought it would be Oct 1st before it would hit 10M, and I was WRONG. I think it'll be 14.5M-15M by end of 2014. As far as the bump, just look at the WatchDogs bump. With the similarity of timed exclusive content AND bundle inclusion, the "Watch Dogs Bump" clearly went in Playstation's favor. I believe the same will be true for Destiny
Getting that sleek white bundle…Can't Wait -- In my best Bart Scott voice
Kinect is pretty much over…If people didn't want to buy the Xbox One w/Kinect at $499…I don't see how they'll be okay paying $549 for the same hardware
@Sitdown The problem with your example is that Microsoft themselves aren't going to be supporting the Kinect for the foreseeable future (laying off the Kinect developers at Rare, announcing 2 or 3 new bundles-NONE with kinect)…So its like buying that Lexus car after Lexus themselves, all but said they weren't supported that model anymore.
So once again the Xbox One with Kinect bundle is the better value, but people weren't buying them as much as Microsoft liked. Why didn't Microsoft just drop the price of the Kinect Bundle to $399, I mean have enough funds to subsidize the difference. I don't understand the rational back in early May
I also agree that Uncharted 4 has the edge because of Naughty Dog…Naughty Dog is the current industry leading development studio in the Action/Adventure genre
Misleading headline trying to draw in traffic…Good to see DESTINY IS STILL COMING OUT ON SEPT 9TH
Very, very close…I think i'd have to agree though. TLOU is more of an emotional roller coaster than Walking Dead, with action just as good... IMO.
Agreed…Not that big of deal, but I'm getting the white PS4 and giving my little brother my black one…So PS4 version for me too
@Are_TheMaDNess You do know that the NASDAQ got hit with a DDOS attack just last year…I doubt their security was duct tape and chicken wire…Does this suck for PSN, YES…But this will be fixed, and HOPEFULLY more security will be put in place

"Our deal with Microsoft has a duration" -- Microsoft will not have control of the title after their exclusivity duration expires
Or if the "Free Play Day with Gold" was the name of the promotion but, much like PS3 free game trials, a person only had access for 1 or 2 hours during that day. That way nobody could have completed games. I think that would have made sense too. But I agree with all the above, 24 hours of access didn't make sense for shorter, single-player campaign focused games.
@ATi_Elite You do realize that "Level Cap" is not exclusive to MMO's…They're very standard in single player RPG's like the Fallout, Elder's Scroll, Mass Effect--Pretty much EVERY RPG has a "Level Cap"
I really think that this generation Sony and Microsoft kinda switched rolls from early 7th gen to early 8th gen…I mean in the early 7th gen the PS3 cost more and was harder to develop for. Now the Xbox One started out more expensive (although now Phil Spencer was smart to get the Xbox One down to $399) and is harder to develop for
@JeffGUNZ You mean the PS4 Destiny Bundle that costs $449? $399 for the console and $50 for the game. So yeah, I guess i forgot that Playstation is giving a whopping $10 off Destiny
@KarmaV12 What does "not wanting" the kinect have to do with Microsoft dropping the Xbox One with Kinect to $399. If a person doesn't want the Kinect they can leave it in the box. If they find out later that they do want it for all the features they can just hook it up rather th...
