CEO Nadella has stated several times, the Xbox division fuels innovation to other Microsoft Divisions…He doesn't appear to think Xbox Division in and of itself is a "Core" part of the Corporation.
Not so much an afterthought. But as CEO Nadella states several times, the Xbox division fuels innovation to other Microsoft Divisions…He doesn't appear to think Xbox Division in and of itself is a "Core" part of the Corporation.
@MasterCornholio, There's a Eurogamer side by side on the trailer for the PS3/PS4 versions already : http://www.eurogamer.net/ar...
More than likely the layoffs will be the redundancies from taking in Nokia. But with no perceivable Xbox/Nokia overlap, any Xbox layoffs would be seen as Nadella wavering on Xbox commitment. Because such layoffs couldn't be labeled as redundancies from the Nokia acquisition.
All 3 companies are working on their next console. But I find it way more interesting that Microsoft felt the need to change the description taking out any reference to their next console.
OOPS…The cover-up is always more telling than the original. The original Microsoft job posting WAS FINE…All 3 companies are working on their next console. But I find it way more interesting that Microsoft felt the need to change the description taking out any reference to their next console.
Well to be fair he did say he found a poll with Sony in the headline which may attract more Sony fans. BUT!!! ---- He did go on to say, "But other polls and comment threads on the Chinese web that I’ve come across suggest the same thing: China’s more excited for the PS4 than it is for the Xbox One" And 57% compared to 10% is a huge margin (even adjusted, the PS4 would probably still be atop the comparison poll)
I think this a pretty good deal…The only issue is that Fry's here in the USA gave the Titanfall Bundle (Xbox One, Kinect, and Titanfall game) AND Forza 5 for $450 back in late March/early April and it didn't sell all that good. So although this is a good deal, i'm not sure how much its gonna sell.
@alexKoepp That can't be the only reason... because of the 13 markets the Xbox One is in, the PS4 is edging them out in all 13 countries.
Its a very common practice in business. If you competitor messes up on policy (which Microsoft clearly did in their E3 2013 conference) then you almost have a duty as a rivaling company to point out the differences in policy. Microsoft would have done the same...
@Dlacy13g I'm not sure why this line-up underwhelms you. Of the 3 consoles, the PS4 is in the prime position to pace itself (thereby not having many peaks and valleys in it's exclusive releases). Like @pedrof93 said, the Order and Bloodborne will probably come in the first half of 2015. Me personally, I like the steady pace of exclusives released as opposed to getting a lot at 1 time and then waiting…If you noticed for the year the PS4 had an exclusive in March, May, then again in...
"Still so many Sony studios havent played their cards yet." You said it brother…SSM, SonyBend, Sony Japan, Guerrilla(RPG i'm really excited for), didn't Media Molecule say there were working on something that wasn't LBP? What other studios am I missing?
The problem with most (if not all) Nintendo home consoles is that most of the gaming public finds lack of 3rd party games too steep a trade-off for their exclusive games
My man Reggie killing me. How bout this…I had a foot race with a Ferrari for a quarter mile. I was given a head start. And do you know that there was an exact moment in time when I appeared to be "pretty close" to the Ferrari as it passed me. I guess by Reggie's logic, the race ended in a photo finish.
Hey, XHeavYx did you get your email confirmation?
I'm sorry to nit-pick but the guy in the article said, "Also, considering how quickly Nintendo killed of the Wii, there’s a chance that, like the PlayStation 2, the PlayStation 4 will catch-up and even surpass the Wii…"
The PS2 never needed to catch up to the Wii because it already had far more sales than the Wii ever had.
@aviator189 Because there are no games the Chinese would want to play on their consoles. There are very few legal Chinese games they are playing now that resemble any Xbox games of today or yesteryear. In other words, if home-grown Chinese developers thought Xbox-type games would sell, wouldn't they make similar Chinese style games.
@georgeenoob Yes there are 1.3B people in China and the gaming community is large, BUT, as this and other articles have pointed out:
No, they won't do that because the exact same thing happened last year, with the same games: http://community.us.playsta...
And they let anybody who downloaded it, keep it...
No it wasn't intentional, but it has been done before with the exact same games. Back about a year ago or maybe a year and a half (with the old PSN format) it was the exact same thing. And PSN came out with a statement saying that anybody that got it during that error could keep it. I just didn't know it was a free cross buy

It makes sense for Microsoft to invest in VR. On the off chance that it takes off, they don't want to be the one left without a chair in this virtual "musical chairs"
