I'd have to agree with @Eonjay...Not sure how Xbox would have had a larger jump within that timespan. Not saying its impossible, but its highly improbable.

Fact is, people have always liked comparing popularity of competing products. Last generation a lot was made of the 360 vs PS3 sales with the 360 coming out ahead (in North America that is). That didn't stop PS3 owners from enjoying their console of choice...Now the shoe is on the other foot. Its just that some people think we shouldn't talk about it anymore.

Who's talking about decisions? I'm talking about the statements the man chooses to make. Unless your telling me that Mr Greenberg was told to say things he didn't want to say (either in the 7th gen or now) then I'll hold him accountable for his statements

Your right, in theory. But EA's estimate was through the end of the year (Dec 31, 2015) so January numbers wouldn't equate in their 55M total estimate.
