There are over 30 Vita games rated 7.0 (GOOD) or higher on IGN of which almost 1/3 are 9.0 or higher. That's hardly a Vita hatred saga.
Too many people are hung up on 7.0 being the starting point for a good game at IGN.
The sad reality is that if we buy games that aren't the best they can be just to show the middle finger to reviewers we don't like, we're actually just giving that finger back to ourselves by financing sub par work.

One thing that Vita is missing is a killer FPS. I'm hoping, at the very least, that COD Vita raises the low bar set by Resistance.
Initial previews were very poor but subsequent reports have mentioned a lot of positive reaction to newer builds.
Nevertheless "proceed with caution" doesn't mean much, it is not the same as "stay away" or "run in the opposite direction".
We'll find out if COD Vita is a he...
Halo, much like COD, is a game with so much anticipation per installment that they could give it a -5/10 score, Microsoft could shut down, all Halo developers could resign and it would STILL sell like the potion for eternal youth.
Gran Turismo Franchise Sales - 67m+
Halo Franchise Sales - 46m+
Halo is a great series of games but in sales it is still eating GT's dust.
Would be much easier to find a broken Xbox. Yup, I went there.
This is nothing to do with architecture. Bethesda are the only PS3 dev who have managed to screw up so badly.
If everyone was struggling to develop for PS3 then it would be a different argument but, again, only Bethesda have messed up so badly.
They've made a lot of money off of PS3, they've taken the money now it's time to do the work.
Gameplay>Graphics ALWAYS
Just Cause 2 has an open-world so vast I've not fully explored it yet. The prospect of having to explore something of the same scale is scary but it'll be fun to do it.
Call me old fashioned but I'll take gameplay ahead of graphics anytime.
It would be far more productive to spend time finding out the actual truth of how the Bayonetta franchise launched on X360 and PS3 and not Wii but ended up becoming an exclusive with a brand that has shown their market for mature games is limited. If Sega did indeed pull the plug on Bayonetta but Nintendo paid for the re-connection, it seems bizarre that they would try to save a mature game for an audience that is arguably much younger than the other Sony and Microsoft's userbase.
Thanks. I look forward to a time when I can't highlight any of these issues anymore.
Good point. I forgot about that completely. Definitely having to splash more cash after buying hardware before you can play any games is further poor business planning.
I said I like the Vita and see the potential in it. I don't see 15 good games for Vita, more importantly which of those are certain system sellers? Uncharted? What else?
I actually do own my own business and work with some large gaming companies (none of those work with Sony for the record). I'm aware of the effort to get Vita out there and that nothing is ever perfect.
However, the lack of PS1 games being on Vita has very little to do with technology it is business planning. There is no way that Sony some 5+ years later after launching PS3 are still having technical issues with providing old library access.

It's a sad state of affairs. I think the pay to play model would benefit from having a smaller monthly charge than abolishing it altogether.
Two reasons for this. It is hard to value something that is free and why spend all this time making something if your business model is very risky.
Darksiders 1 was a very derivative game. It borrowed alot of ideas for previous games BUT it worked and it worked very well making for a highly enjoyable game that was far greater than the sum of its parts.
If Darksiders 2 can be more of the same but better alot of people will be very very happy.
2013 will not see PS4 released
Horrible? I think you're misguided somewhat with that belief. On what grounds is Android horrible?
OUYA is a good idea. At $99 it becomes very accessible and there is no reason why a PS3/Xbox owner couldn't have the OUYA as their casual/alternative gaming and entertainment solution - it will certainly be more media compliant than either of the big boys.
Also as it is supported by the Android ecosystem it won't have a problem getting game support.
gameplay footage and playing the game are not the same. The general consensus will be available soon.
