Glad some reviewers are actually trying out the MP, it's a gem and one of the best non-FPS MP's around.
IGN's review was somewhat harsh whilst the above tells a more accurate story.
Play the single player for what it is , an ok campaign but play the multiplayer for real fun.
Multiplayer is a fantastic experience in this game.

Only a small minority play it compared to more mainstream pursuits.
To keep up to date with the latest games in PCland you would probably have spent something similar to buying all 3 home consoles and a bundle of games & peripherals.
Exclusively on 360 and that other platform that is unregulated, rife with piracy and insanely expensive to maintain.

Genius. Given that the Orange Box was ported by EA it is not inconceivable that L4D2 would be also. Alot of "exclusives" often end up on the other side of the fence, FF13, MGS, Ninja Gaiden, Bioshock etc etc.

Is GT5 really scheduled for NOV? I wasn't aware of that. Given that no real substance as shown at E3 they are either really keeping things under wraps or behind schedule.
Either way the PSP>PS3 integration on GT sounds great and I only wish the dev's could use this cross platform feature more. Perhaps the rumoured PSPgo AppStore will open this ability up?

As for putting Killzone in the same list as Haze & Lair, that's like putting Halo next to Vampire Rain. Perhaps it time to try playing games with the joypad switched on. Makes one helluva difference.

Valve are just lazy. PC gives them no barriers and porting to Xbox is easy given the cross-compatibilities. There are far too many games (including exclusives) coming out for PS3 for this "complexity" to be an issue. It's like learning a new language, of course there is a learning curve but if you put the time in, it comes naturally afterwards.
As for Valve's resume of games it's good but not the best.
Team Fortress 2 = Good but most certainly not the best ...
Valve have had a taste on the money to be made via a console install base and they want more that's why.
I bet they made more money with L4D 360 than with PC for many different and obvious reasons.

About time Sony stole something for MS, rather than losing out time and time again.
..some of these features:
- A video store that can be accessed outside of the USA (so the other 5.5bn people can use it)
- Some decent PS1 downloads
- An IM service like Skype, Digsby etc
- MKV support
- a decent Podcast capturing facility
- a deal with Hulu
- A region free PS2 emulator (It's way overdue)
- A decent browser, ditch the current crap and use Firefox / Chrome
- Life With PlayStation that allows zooming on content

Get both games.
They both have enough differences to warrant this. And what's greater than two super "hero" games in the same 30 day period!!

This game has already become the laughing stock of the games industry. How long in alleged development now 5 maybe 6 years maybe longer?
Unless this game becomes the greatest FPS of all time and is a multi platform release to boot it will sink into obscurity.

I was always a fan of PES but since PS3/360 Konami have let things slip significantly.
If you look at the improvements between Fifa 07 >Fifa 08 > Fifa 09 and then compare PES 07 > PES 08 > PES 09 you'll see that EA have delivered beyond what was expected since the next gen. Konami on the other hand have significantly under achevied.

Hopefully one of the "new features" will be an online element that is not broken on day one and never fixed.
PES 08 & 09 had online play that was quite possibly the worst of this generation. FIFA 09 has raised the bar online with 10v10.
Whether you love or hate FIFA 10v10 with no lag is wher PES10 needs to go to go beyond being a PS2/Xbox1 title with slightly better graphics.
Some good comments about PS3. On top of it all it surely is no coincidence that the PS3 is both "hard" to develop for and the only console never to have any real software piracy on it.
A shame indeed about splitscreen being phased out. Whilst online is a real plus this gen, losing offline multiplayer certainly in the frequency that it used to occur it a big minus.
Perhaps next gen consoles could support dual monitor/TV for a new kind of offline MP?
Some of that list made me wonder if the writer ever played games. Paperboy, GnG, Joust these were back in the day classics. As for E.T., (runs for cover)
