Who wouldn't want to play Angry Birds for $100?
OUYA is hardly overpriced BUT they kinda shot themselves in the foot when they announced that each year would see a new OUYA hardware iteration. That was an instant no-no for me and no doubt a lot of other people too.
I'm a PlayStation user but say this with a clear mind. Microsoft's heritage is software and they're kinda good at it. I'd be very surprised if, for anything Sony announced that caught them out, that Microsoft didn't have something equally innovative.
This is what happens when a potentially great game has box art designed by a generic art team.
I'd love to see something more Orwellian on the front than a guy who, to most, will look like an assassin with an iPhone.
'Gamers have no credibility in this argument.' Until he shows us his achievement/trophy score HE has no credibility in this argument.
@ fei-hung, good point. Day 1 PSN Digital is a real way to get butt hurt. Might as well shave your butt, drop your trousers, grab your ankles and walk into the PSN store backwards.
Dumbed down? The original 4 DMC's were hardly high level intellectual fodder.
Why I stopped reading 'Why I XYZ' articles.
Good articles, whether opinions are aligned or misaligned, should always feature compelling headlines and breadcrumbs. This one doesn't.
Console are designed to provide a stable value for money experience. Out of the box consoles provide much better value than out of the box gaming PC's. OOTB console can stay relevant for up to 10 years, OOTB PC 1-2 years.
3DO, Sega CD and Nokia nGage all feel better.
I'd only support less exclusives if it allowed better marketing of the ones that are left.
For games like StarHawk to sell poor enough to result in layoffs is a complete joke.
I don't understand how a commodity product can rise in cost. Makes no sense whatsoever. Most commodities are overproduced and get cheaper going forward.
Maxing out hardware doesn't mean all that much. Provide a compelling experience first, hardware max out second.
Really? Is it 2007 again?
2007 called, they want this article back where it belongs.
People forget that PS3 didn't get off to the best start with several high profile false starts with games like Lair and Haze falling well short of expectations.
Sony get things right the hard way. Vita will come good eventually.
It is not a good start to the reviews, doesn't mean much as these early reviews are from places building their rep but the big boys will be weighing in soon.
Awww yeah
Thanks. Everything is crossed in the hope this will be a positive FPS experience on Vita.
Such a tough decision, let me check my portable super computer.
