I don't recall PS ever sucking. It provided far more exclusive AAA content over the years and didn't get rid of 80% of it's in house dev studios in order to push a useless hardware add on to it's existing user base...like another company I can think of.
You're comparing apples to oranges. In the console gaming world, it is a beast. Developers take advantage of pc and console development differently when making games. For the price point it will be great. For those wanting a top of the line PC, have fun spending a crap ton of money on new hardware periodically. I'll be sticking with the one i have to purchase once and play on for about 6-7 years worry free. :-)
Nobody is saying any of that at all. What people are saying is that it is a very capable console that is far more powerful than past consoles. This is what most people were expecting and wanting. To those who wanna hate for absolutely no reason whatsoever, they'll be missing out. When i see a valid reason to put the thing down I'll be the first to agree, but until then i'll point out stupidity when it arises.

Never had any lost love for them. The games and hardware have been solid since 2006. People decided they would bitch at price point and follow bullshit propaganda. The software spoke for itself. The PS3 has offered great content, and I know the PS4 will as well. It's always been a rip off as far as I'm concerned. You're paying 60 a year for something that should be free. I played for years on the PC before live came around, all for free with the ability to chat with whomever I wanted. A fee was never needed for the service and in no way justifys the "cross game chat". Should be able to access apps that you already pay a monthly fee for as well instead of having to have gold. To those saying that Killzone SF is on the same level as Crysis 3, how about that draw distance in the KZ demo? I don't see Crysis 3 doing that with anything comparable on CONSOLES. Someone provide a screenshot from Crysis 3 for consoles up against that opening footage(ship coming in from above) from KZSF. I doubt it will even be close. Stop bringing the pc to console fight.
