These articles are just getting ridiculous. Ah, Chris Kohler. No more explanation needed. This guy straight up has a beef with Sony that he cant let go of. I'm fairly certain Microsoft could shit in this guys mouth and he'd ask for seconds.

^^ This. Stop trying to deflect and just accept the reality of what MS is trying to do to it's consumer base. Sony has made it perfectly clear that it will not be going down the always on/used game fee path.

Wow. Nice try at deflecting. Seems as though we've switched the first two stages of grief. Anger and Denial. It's been stated several times that the PS4 will allow used games and will NOT be always on. Let's get back to the main issue here: WTF MS??

Microsoft came in second to Nintendo...in the US in total sales. Worldwide? Sony beat out Microsoft.

More power is great, but what a lot of people don't understand is that the massive shift in support is due to Microsofts business decisions regarding Xbox1 that effect the consumer. Used game fees? Always on? No headset in the box? Less focus on games? Kinect? They are not listening to what their hardcore base wants, thus consumers want to go to where the competition is. Xbox fans, seriously, take the blinders off and look at what they are trying to do with this thing for the sole p...

Depending on whether or not MS enforces a policy on their 3rd party games of games not performing better on opposing consoles, or company's won't be able to sell their product for the Xbox console. This would require devs to dumb down other console versions to match the Xbox version in looks. Bullshit huh? But I wouldn't put it past them doing it. Especially with the Call of Duty series.

The live demos showcased at the PS4 conference were running on PC/PS4 dev kits. Hell, they were even less powerful than what the final specs would be. We can expect better than what we saw. Sony has been nothing but honest thus far this gen. I truly believe they have learned from their PS2-PS3 transition and have brought back down to the humble zone. They are out to please gamers and get their marketshare back. They haven't lied about shit thus far.

Didn't even get into the specs. I'm gonna bet it's 8 gigs of DDR3 RAM. Which isn't bad....but not nearly what 8 gigs of GDDR5 is. I'm really curious as to what is going to happen now this gen. Will devs work down from the PS4 version, or intentionally bring PS4 games down to match what Xbox One will be able to handle. The whole "Playstation is hard to develop for" days are long gone.

Sketchy on the specs and barely talked about game content. WTF? Is the xbox one a DVR or a game console? If the gaming press lets this slide I'll be irate. Thus far, I like Sony's focus on the gamer.

Wii-U is going to go through the same shit it did last gen, except this time without all the motion control hype and sales. 3rd party support is not going to happen if you're selling generation old tech at premium prices.

April fools joke if I ever saw one.

I have yet to see a mobile game and scream "I gotta have it." It lacks the overall quality of console games and the comfort of input. I do not see mobile gaming overtaking anything in the the near future. Also, the PS4 is leaps and bounds over it's predecessor. So in essence: This guy is wrong. I know it's his opinion and all...but he's still wrong. For a game developer he seems pretty out of touch with reality and the general gaming public.

Even at 30 FPS it still looked fantastic. I'm willing to make a trade off in framerate if it means higher graphical fidelity and effects. But if they can get it up to 60 FPS, I won't complain either.

What Minato said. The game may be finished (gameplay wise), but there are still 8 months of graphical polish and updates they can add. This makes me even more excited. The dev kit was only running on 1.5 gigs of ram. With a whole 8 to work with I'm curious as to what they will add. More particle effects? More stuff happening on screen? The possibility's are endless, and all of which are a positive thing.

Quoting a great post from Leviathan:

"Nvidia royally screwed over both MS AND Sony. Microsoft got screwed when they assumed the price of the graphics chip would drop over time in the first XBOX.It didn't. Nvidia then MILKED MS because they had no chip pricing reduction over the product life.

Sony got hurt by Nvidia when they asked them to build a xenos style processor for the ps3,(a shader model 4.0 type GPU). Nvidia said they cant do it before the l...

Better luck next time nvidia with those next gen console contracts. Butt hurt much?

Overpriced is the word. I'll happily pay half the price for the same hardware specs from another vendor.

They are obviously butthurt over Sony turning them down to put their hardware in the PS4. Perhaps Nvidia will finally understand that you can't charge crazy prices for hardware that the guy across the street can sell for cheaper(AMD). I doubt Nvidia will be used for the 720 either due to their ridiculous pricing.

And just because they are in the red as a company overall, doesn't mean their hardware or software lacked. Some of the best games this gen have been PS3 e...
