I liked the original Cole. And I REALLY liked Zeke, Kessler, and the story. As long as the gameplay is solid, there is plenty of exploration, and little more mission variety, I won't mind this change TOO much.
I just hope they keep the badass boss fights. The final battle on Hard was amazing, especially for a sandbox style game. I expect the Beast to be... well... a beast!
Co-op would be tight too. =)
Pretty. Hope the mechanics are good, and I will enjoy. Drac better have multiple forms as well! (Starting with the classic trip fireball fight!)
On a side note, want a good game? Go play Darksiders! I just got to this title and it's a true gem fro adventure/hack n slash fans!
Oh god enough already.
Yawn.

1.04, the gameplay was perfect.
1.05 changed the weapons and damage, and personally I don't enjoy it anymore.
All they had to do was increase the animation time for nades, instead of killing the radius. Fix a few holes in the maps, and it would still be my fave MP game of this gen.
I'm gonna platinum it, once I finish Darksiders.
Which is funny, because I love Psychonauts, but it's gameplay is clunky as all hell. Did he point that out?
No, it really is that great, and one of the few games with a classic mindset, instead of the coddling done by EVERY pathetically easy game this generation. CoD is NOT hardcore people.
Agreed. Pre - 1.05 was still the best.
"Articles" like this undermine the quality and purpose of this site, without a doubt. This is nothing but flamebait, regardless of your opinion of KZ2.
I'm still sad that exclusives like Episodes from Liberty City will never come to the PS3...
So was Twilight Princess technically.
Wind Waker was better, IMHO.
I want to know what is so "next gen design" and "nonlinear" about Alan Wake, since you seem to harp this argument in every thread that you whine about PS3 fanboys in...
Halo Reach looks like a bigger leap because Bungie is a talented team and have improved their engine. Not to mention, Halo 3 was hardly a graphics powerhouse.
Michael Bay's setpieces are crap. Revenge of the Fallen had a horrible finale because there was no sense of pacing or location. Not to mention he focused on the lameass humans and relegated the Transformers to the background in 90% of shots.
That's my biggest beef with high damage model games that have been coming out lately (you know, like CoD, where two shots drop you). It makes campers out of almost everyone.
Indeed. I sold my Wii long ago, but if I could find Prime Trilogy... that, SMG2, and Zelda would mean it's time to open up the ole wallet.
The victim angle on both sides is getting old. You can just leave, not comment, or find another site to get news from. IMHO of course. (And that doesn't justify the actions of fanboys on either side, I'm just sick of 360 fanboys crying when they can be just as bad. I'm also rather pissed that both Alan Wake AND Heavy Rain were spoiled for me by a bunch of brats on here.)
I can't think of a character in a sequel during the same generation that was ever redesigned to be more "mainstream."
Just something that seems rather... marketing based instead of trying to redeem the character via story (not that Cole needed redeeming... I loved the gritty comic style and pray they don't drop it).
