Yeah, Demon's Souls is the only classic game to be released this gen.
Finally something that doesn't coddle.
Also, dragons.
Your reply, SOAD? ;-)
PS, yes this is satire.
Indeed. The style is lost in these tiny pics. And the draw distance should be suitably nuts. Still, I expected a little bit more of a boost. But Crackdown is awesome, so I'll quickly get over it.
Not every game needs to be "uber-realistic" to look/run well.
Weird, because GTA and RDR have the same issue with repetitive missions. I never said it was the same in terms of production quality, I said infamous was an open world game, far from linear, and it certainly looked far from bad.
The idea that the PS3 only does "linear" titles and the 360 "open world titles" is just laughable and an insult to both systems, that's all. Both systems can do both types of games, and excel at both as well. For example, if I ...
I have to disagree nice guy. Alan Wake is a linear title on the 360, and Burnout Paradise and infamous are open world games on the PS3. And EVERY game under the sun uses "tricks" to get the visuals you gamers see. That's what visual design is, pulling off the best tricks via good use of LOD, mipmaps, depth of field, one sided assets, etc.
So no, I disagree entirely.
Halo did not invent jetpacks or coop. The KZ franchise had jetpacks long before Halo as well man.
Please stop.
Wow, sounds like a pretty glowing preview. Here's MY hopes -
- Longer campaign with SOME kind of coop
- Return of Visari some how, the guy rocks
- Fix the classes in MP, no more spawn grenades on top of objectives (or let me defuse them/destroy them?)
- Tighter aiming
All in all, can't wait. Especially if this is a fall release, as I'm basically done with CoD after the last one.
Games will "pwn E3" for me. I don't give a damn about motion controls, otherwise I would have kept my Wii.
I don't get why you guys argue over this stupid crap.
The worst is when I see people on forums COMPLAIN that CHEATS disable Trophies.
Sad sad time. They do add replayability, but at the same time it seems like they are replacing secrets and cheats/unlockables, which sucks!
Looks badass. My hat off to Epic. Just please, PLEASE test MP, and give us a worthy final boss for the trilogy! The Lambent can be awesome, but the ending of Gears 2 sucked!
Comparison number 9999.
So tell me, does resolution matter? Or not? Do we bash Alan Wake and RDR PS3? Or not? Tell me!
Round and round it'll go. Remember, MGS4 "sucks" because it's just a "stupid boring movie." But now Rising will be "utterly amazing."
Don't waste your time with the usual fanboys man, you're a Lombax, which means you're A-OK in my book. =)
If the gameplay is good, I'm down. I just hope it's NOT "MGS4 from Raiden's POV." Leave the canon alone, move on to a franchise reboot. New universe, new story, new relationships, new takes on old characters (a la Ac!d, but with classic MGS gameplay).
No, there was input lag. That's not a design choice. Trust me. Ramping is a design choice.
Weight is fine. I just don't like delay, and the ramping needs tweaking.
Yeah Alpha, this is amazing. And the fact that its basically a recycled game, even more so. That is NOT a dig on Galaxy, I think if strong design can show through above that, it's an even further testament to a skilled team.
But oh the things I could say about reviewer inconsistency right now =)
Splitscreen campaign? Coop campaign?
Fixed classes in MP? Tighter aiming?
Get those in, and I'm so beyond sold.
Also, drop the lame required online Trophies. Make them fun, not a slog.
I do. It's rather nice. Quick and easy.
This just in - scores are still arbitrary and useless.
Yup. Because "normal" games are too damn easy lately.
That's cool. But my opinion > his opinion when it comes to MY gaming time. =)
