Yup. That's why I got 40 disagrees the other day for saying that the aiming in KZ2 is essentially broken, and the Assault class needs some major rebalancing for MP.
Also how much better UC2 online was pre update 1.05.
Funny thing is, I'm not even talking about Halo. I'm referring to REVIEW STANDARDS, NOT THE GAMES IN QUESTION. Totally different subjects. Besides that, not everyone loves Halo. To me the mythology is better than the actual games. Ge...
Reach IS looking like a great game. I have a ton of respect for Halo/Bungie, and find their games fun, but not something I'm a massive fan of (IE, I'll play it if it's around, but I don't need to go out and buy my own personal Xbox for it).
No no, my issue is still with how much review sites flip flop on the necessity of originality and innovation in sequels, and how some get a free pass while others get slammed. SMG2 is a prime example. Regardless of how grea...
Innovation and originality. Except when it comes to Call of Duty and Halo, natch.
But ER-AM,
I'M a hardcore player, so that's where MY opinion is coming from. Not to mention, E3 is without a doubt a hardcore's show. Most casual gamers don't even know of it. I get WHY they are doing it, I'm just saying NOTHING has appealed to me from Sony or MS right now when it comes to motion controls.
That's all.
I have to agree.
I really haven't seen anything from Sony or MS that couldn't really be done on the Wii already.
Modern games hold your hand too much and assume you're a noob all the time. I can't stand it. You didn't have Mario telling you to press the A button to jump!
Again, I'm more interested in the quality of the game itself, which we still know very little about. I still picture it as a mature take on Kingdom Hearts style gameplay. FFXIII was disappointing, utterly, to me.
If more gamers can enjoy this title then awesome.
Where's the reasons WHY? Isn't this just a picture list?
I'm sure people here will argue and troll about this regardless...
Yes, I agree, the Move IS unimaginative on a tech level. It's always going to be about the GAMES, which brings me to my next point -
Kinect is just as imaginative. They have yet to show ANY games that are above Wii shovelware fodder. What good is "great new revolutionary tech" if you don't have the GAMES to support it?
Until I see something truly amazing, MS and Sony's efforts to me just really feel like a "me too."
Give her some cred, unlike your family and the translator in past titles, she's invincible.
And sadly Cybertron was not devoured in 2005. =(
And I always see 360 fanboys playing the sales card and acting like victims.
Please don't generalize. Fanboys are stupid by nature.
60fps, no screen tearing. It was okay for CoD4, shouldn't it be okay now?
I don't get why Crackdown 2 and TM are being bagged on so much?
No Lou...
"We pay $60 bucks for our games instead of $50 like we did last gen. Why? because we are supposed to get better graphics & better sound. "
You pay $60 because development costs have skyrocketed for next gen systems. It takes a lot of skilled people a lot of time to write code for the 360 and PS3, and it just takes longer to make HD assets (textures, models, etc). Are you GUARANTEED something ground breaking every time? Certainly not. I...
I own and love KZ2. But the aiming just wasn't up to snuff. No I don't want it to become CoD either, but giving a game more accurate and lag free control does not mean its instantly becoming a CoD clone either.
Except the awful lag and deadzone.
The acceleration was a design choice, one I wasn't a fan of.
People need to drop the whole "weight" argument, because if that was true, there's no reason an SMG should be as heavy as an RPG.
I for one welcome the improved controls.
The game certainly needs work, but like Crackdown 2, if its fun who cares?
I saw NO slowdown and NO screentearing which bodes well.
I'm a hardcore MGS fan, and I'm going to give this game a chance.
I'd love to know what "next gen fighting" is...
Daily challenges sound pretty cool.
