Trash like this getting approved is why N4G will always be a sh!thole.
A great idea of a site wasted.
Oh etownone... review scores =/= sales.
And when you have review outlets posting things like "If Infamous 2 is better than Crackdown 2 I'll eat my hat," well, you can ignore bias with your conspiracy jokes all you want. The rest of us will live in reality.
Wow. SE has totally fallen from grace this gen. How disappointing.
Where's Persona 5 now? I need a REAL RPG.
I know the difference between reality and fantasy. Games, just like film, are not all meant for children.
Well said SOAD.
Weird, from my experience more people use Maya.
Kinda sucks that Kojima is stuck doing MGS. I'd love to see him branch out, just like Bungie is doing. Talented teams, I want to see what ELSE they can do already!
I'm a lil FPS'ed out myself. I miss UT2004 style games. All of this dying in 2 shots, aim assist crap is boring me.
So it's a stand alone story?
Where's the fun in that? Unless he's saying you don't need to know what's happened to enjoy the game... in which case cool, but still, this weirds me out. Rising is clearly tied into the MGS2/4 arc from what we've seen, I hope they don't just ignore it.
To eat games perhaps?
No? Ah screw it I tried.
It's understandable. I still enjoy a good SP campaign myself. Darksiders for instance, I felt was a true gem.
"Same can't be said about Alan Wake because (with the exception of fanboys) it's widely agreed upon as a great game"
Actually the same CAN be said of AW, depends where you go. Even many pro reviews have said the game is short, lacks replay value, and is repetitive. From what I've read (and I'm prone to agree from my experiences with it), it's widely agreed upon as a good game that failed to reach the heights of what was promised (damn those light...
MW2 turned me off from CoD entirely, and I'm not a huge racing sim fan, so no GT5 for me.
I'm actually psyched for Vanquish, and curious to check out Castlevania and Force Unleashed 2.
"
The moment it bridged a new gap in storytelling perhaps? ;) "
What gap is that? I didn't see anything other than constant recaps for people with the attention span of a goldfish. Yahtzee said it best in his review.
Sure, it was clever to be like a tv show, but people are treating it like some huge innovation in story telling. I just don't get it I guess.
The story itself was kinda cool, if a lackluster ending.
Yet GT outsells Halo.
Discuss.
And this game will be nitpicked to death, regardless of how good it will ultimately end up being.
1000 cars? Why didn't it have 2000?
20 tracks? Why didn't it have 30?
Etc. etc.
Live is a great setup, but personally, I don't feel I should have to pay to play online.
You guys can argue over the rest.
Cue argument of "Yes, I too pity people who bought updates of old titles, like MW2, and Halo 3..."
;-)
I have BC, but even I want these HD remakes.
60fps? AA? No screentearing? Trophy support? 2 - 3 games for $40?
I'm in.
Returning city is fine. But what's the reason for the missions all being rather bland?
