I don't get the love for Witcher 3 either. I wouldn't give it game of the week, much less the year.
I can't believe people are still obsessed with it the way they are. It was a substandard, generic, and just very "basic" RPG.
Combat was pitiful, character progression was nonexistent, loot was mostly samey and useless.
As a huge open world RPG fan, I just don't get it. It's one of the worst I've played. ...
Sorry to offend your delicate sensibilities, but as an ICO and Shadow of the Colossus fan, this game looked awful when they demoed it.
The guy yelled for his monster 30 times and it took him 10 minutes to jump 3 gaps.
It was one of the worst gameplay presentations I've ever seen.
I'm really hoping they can turn it around but I kind of don't see it happening.
For the billionth time, lots of people simply don't want to game on PC.
Maybe it's the money, maybe it's the hassle involved in making everything work.
Either way, there are a lot of people that won't switch to PC unless consoles are no longer an option.
I hope this game is a lot less terrible than it looked when they showed it off at E3 last year.
Wow, I always knew that Sony fanboys were the worst, but this may be a new low.
Can't even handle that your precious Sony didn't win a meaningless advertising award?
Absolutely Pathetic.
That game seriously only has 1 map and 1 game mode?
I know people that have been playing it every day for like 5 years. I just assumed there was a ton of variation.
wow.
Why so mad, bro?
Look, Goat Simulator is just a stupid game to goof off with physics based stuff.
It's not meant to eat up 100 hours of your time, you just run around and do silly stuff, maybe find some secret stuff, and that's about it.
It's a great game to sit down and pass the controller to a buddy, have a few beers, and laugh about how stupid it is.
It's not the next Uncharted or Gears of War, and ...
After looking at how quickly a "slightly negative" review of a PS4 game shoots up to the top of the list in N4G and the furor with which people go to argue with it, why WOULDN'T a website score the game a point or two below everyone else in order to generate clicks?
Don't give me this BS about Bias, or about being a fanboy, or about being "paid off".
As long as websites make money based on the amount of traffic they generate, t...
Yeah Curie was by far my favorite character.
So adorable. :)
Because some people don't have a PC that can exceed the PS4's capabilities?
That seems like a pretty obvious answer to your question, so I'm guessing your "question" was just to troll and not a legitimate inquiry.
How about we all stop for a second and realize that there are two sides to this argument, and both sides are RIGHT, for themselves.
If you're primarily a solo guy, a multiplayer only game isn't worth it to you.
If you're a big multiplayer guy, a solo game isn't worth it to you.
There is no RIGHT answer. Neither side is WRONG.
Games like this are 60 bucks because the people that love multiplayer thin...
Maybe I'm the exception, choc_twirl, but I go back and replay single player games all the time.
Sometimes when a new game is coming out, say like a new God of War, I will go back and replay the whole series in order in preparation for it.
I used to do that a lot more, but some of these franchises are getting too big. I'm not going to play all 10 Assassin's Creed games every year, for instance. lol
I'd love to see the results of a poll of QB players asking them about this because I would bet that 90% or more of them would never have noticed it.
I played the whole game twice back to back and I sure as hell never noticed. I only know about it because I read it here on N4G.
Of course I'm just playing the game for fun and not doing a detailed analysis of it, so that probably has something to do with it.
The "Xbox only has Halo, Gears, and Forza" argument is just the other side's version of the "PS3 has no games" argument.
They are both stupid nonsense that are just repeated ad nauseam despite having no basis in reality.
It's just fanboys pointing fingers at each other and needing something with which to attack.
What's really funny to me is all the people lower in the comments that are commenting on this "article" when they obviously didn't read it.
They are missing out, this article is REALLY something. lol
Here is an excerpt from the article, just to give you a sense of the quality of the writing.

Learn your facts. The reviewer gave it a 4.
Wash Po just doesn't post the scores.

Dragons Dogma is a great example of a much better RPG in every way. The combat and the character progression was miles ahead of Witcher 3.
Kingdoms of Amalur is another from that same time frame that blows it away.
Dragon Age series, much better as well.
Elder Scrolls is way better. I know some don't like its combat either but at least your character evolves and things change in those games.
I've never been a ...
Glad to see I'm not completely alone. I thought it was one of the most over rated games I've ever played.
Graphics were nice and the missions were mostly well written but the 2 things that are the most important in an RPG were both terrible.
One of those is the combat, boring, repetitive, and just plain not fun. Part of this is because it's the only "RPG" that doesn't let you change your fighting style. You'll always fight wi...
It really, really is.
I haven't used a standard XB1 controller since.
Even if you use it straight out of the box and don't change a single setting, and if you never use any of the paddles, it's still the best controller I've ever used, hands down, no contest.
I hated the bubble crap but now there is zero incentive to watch what you say, so everyone just spouts fanboy BS constantly.
It's terrible.
