It was pretty clear to me that Xbox had the better showing as far as the console shows went.
Lots of great games coming soon, new XBL features, a slim console revision, and a new console coming next year.
Sony meanwhile had Horizon, which looks fantastic, then a couple games that look like TLOU ripoffs, including the complete bastardization of God of War... And a lot of their games are further off into the future than Xbox's new console.

I was super excited as soon as I saw Kratos, then I saw how the game played and it made me sad.
What a terrible direction to go with this series. I don't get why anyone thinks this is a good idea.

The close behind the back camera seems to have simplified the combat, for one.
But mostly it's about the slow pace and the emotional bond with the Kid.
It's Kratos. He yells a lot and kills everything in his path.
Having a tender moment with his kid while hunting a deer might be great in another game. But it isn't what I want in a God of War game.
This is my only concern as well.
I am nearly certain I will have maybe one other person to play this with and none of my other friends will get it.
Will it be possible to sail the ship with a 2 man crew? Will AI fill in the gaps? These are all questions I need answered.
Otherwise I guess I'll get it and have to use the new Looking for Group feature on XBL to start finding decent people to sail with.
I love God of War, but this new version.... Ugh... Looks terrible.

This game sounds nothing like a God of War game. It sounds like The Last of Us.
It sounds awful, from what info they've released so far.
I like a good emotional story as much as the next guy, and a game with a companion that fights with you and everything, but that isn't God of War.
The Kratos I know is a loner who speaks through anger and violence, not tender moments with his son and a wounded deer.

I totally agree that there is still no reason to go for a 4k TV, unless you sit basically right on top of it.
If those graphs that show what resolution benefit you get from your viewing distance are accurate, you'd need a gigantic TV to tell the difference from a normal viewing range.

Also, I normally don't call out things that are too "gamey", but pulling an oil filter out of an engine and screwing it onto the gun like it was made just for that was a bit of a stretch. lol
